Vash sighed to himself. He didn't understand why he had to pass some file to a teacher who was in charge of detention. He did not know either of the teachers--neither the one in charge of detention nor the one who'd asked him to pass the file--and yet he still had to do such a task.
He scowled to himself as he walked down the hallway. It wasn't even as if he'd talked to either teacher. The only thing he'd done was pass by one of them, who then asked him to pass the detention teacher a file. Really, it was because they always asked students to do their work for them that the teachers were gaining more and more weight.
It wasn't really as if Vash could have refused the teacher, though, which was why he found himself carrying the file and trudging towards the detention hall. He didn't find himself in that area very often. He had been in detention one or two times, though. Only on those days where his temper is worn too thin by fellow students. Those brilliantly annoying people find themselves facing his gun. And he is usually hauled off to detention.
Vash's day had started off so well, though. He was supposed to meet up with his younger sister, Lili. They'd arranged for lunch together a few days ago. He hadn't seen his younger sister for a while--they'd been quite busy after entering the school--and he had missed her. She was one of the few people that he could stand, after all. Unlike most of the other annoying students.
She suddenly cancelled their lunch in the morning, however, saying that she had something urgent to settle and that she was sorry, and if they could meet up for lunch another day. Vash was disappointed--he'd been anticipating seeing his sister and talking to her again, but he understood, and they'd arranged for lunch another time. It had dampened his mood considerably, though.
When he'd finally reached the detention hall, Vash saw a girl with blond hair cut in a similar style as his sitting at one of the desks and talking to the teacher he was probably supposed to pass the file to. He'd only seen one other girl with hair that similar to his--could that girl be Lili? But no, it can't be--Lili would never get detention. She was such a good girl, it was impossible that she'd even be able to get into the detention hall.
"Excuse me, Sir," Vash called at the door. "Another teacher asked me to pass you this file."
Both teacher and student turned--and Vash immediately felt dread grow within him.
The girl having detention was Lili.
