6:30, Monday.
Being the first day of the week, many were still asleep at this hour, trying to enjoy the last few precious moments of sleep before they would have to get ready for classes. There was probably only a few souls awake at this hour, and a small blonde girl from Dormitory 101.
Anyone's guess would be as good as any as to why this girl was appearing to wandering the halls of her school. Maybe trying to get to her locker early, or meet someone at an abnormal hour. Or, considering she had a small hand bag gripped in her hands, she could be trying to run away from the school, unable to handle the pressures of being in such an odd high school.
The least likely guess would be that she was sneaking away from her dorm to put on makeup, which is exactly what she was doing. The bag did not contain her belongings, but various makeup tools, such as eye liner and makeup.
Lili roomed with three boys, all of who probably didn't want their time wasted by a fourteen year old taking hours to put on makeup. Especially considering she didn't really know how to put on makeup.
She slipped into the bathroom, switching on the lights and blinking to adjust. Oh, this would be much better than doing it in her dorm. There was no one really conscious at this hour, and she was sure there would be no intruders. At least, she hoped, for it would be terribly embarrassing to be caught in a public bathroom, attempting to put on eyeshadow and making herself look ridiculous.
For the past week, Lili hadn't really taken time to put on makeup. Honestly, for most of her life she didn't put on makeup, for no one took time to teach her exactly how to put it on. Her mother didn't wear makeup often, being a woman who didn't believe in wearing makeup as a mask. Her brother, well, he didn't wear makeup, of course not! So she had gone without the stuff. But..
The past week.. She had watched other girls around the school be fawned over, being flirted with. And she would be lying like a rug if Lili said she wasn't at least an itty bit jealous of them. Most boys viewed her as a little sister type, and it got bothersome sometimes.
So today, she would start wearing makeup! It would be her first step towards being more noticeable. The second step being..
Lili observed herself in the mirror, averting her eyes from her chest, or rather, lack of. With a shake of her head, she set the bag onto the counter, pulling out various things. Mascara, a compact, eyeshadow, eyeliner.. What was she supposed to start with? She couldn't think of how to.. The Germanic girl grabbed the eyeshadow, opening it with a click. Oh, now there was the option of color to start with! Maybe.. Well, she was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, so maybe.. Blue? It would match the jeans..
She took the brush, getting a copious amount of blue dust onto the bristles and reaching up to apply it to her lids, holding back a sneeze that was probably brought on by the extreme amount of eyeshadow. When she had gotten the dust onto both eyelids and looked at herself, oh, she resisted bursting into tears. It had been too much, and Lili might as well have smeared the whole case of eyeshadow on her face and it would have looked better.
“S-scheißbe,” murmured the girl, before covering her mouth in shame at the word she had uttered. No, it probably looked like this when you first started putting on makeup in the morning, you just needed more to make it look better, surely! Leonie closed the eyeshadow, reaching for liquid eyeliner.
Now, she had been told to be careful with this stuff before, but it couldn't be that bad. Things like makeup were made to be safe, especially the eye makeup. But her hands refused to stop shaking, appalled by the fact her eyeshadow attempt had already been atrocious. Soon enough, black eyeliner got into her eye, making her her cry out in pain. The sound echoed in the empty stalls, mocking her with her own screech.
Lili slammed the tube of liquid eyeliner on the counter, rubbing at her eye and probably getting black and blue all over her face in the process. Through one eye, she could see the black eyeliner had started to spill out into the sink like a stream of oil. She had saved up so much for that! There would be no wasting it down the drain, no sir.
She kept her eye shut tightly, tears trying to wash away all of the work and makeup while she grabbed the eyeliner and fumbled with the top to tighten it on and prevent more spilling.
This, well, this was just not turning well at all! Not in the least! Thought she, attempting to wash off the bright, obnoxious blue eyeshadow and tears, getting water all over her white shirt and the counters in the process.
