First Day and Already Late [Aimee, Alice]

"This is embarrassing," Nikita thought, standing in the gateway to his new school. The cards around him fluttered in a clump, expressing his embarrassment. He was late, very late; the reason being was obvious: he had overslept. He broke his alarm clock into indistinguishable pieces when he did wake and was aware of the time. His Bpat would never accept this type of behavior, but he had just been so thrilled. He and his twin Sestra had both been accepted to the school when he did not and the feeling of being left behind filled him. But as time passed, he too had gotten accepted into the school. Thus he had stayed awake in his joy, messing up his sleeping schedule, which ended up in his tardiness. Hopefully his Bpat would be able to forgive this one little mistake of his.

Clutching the handle of his suitcase tightly, he walked into the school. The cards did spread out but they continued to stay together. It was rare for Nikita to feel embarrassment and he certainly did not know how to deal with it. He could feel his cheeks burn slightly, giving some color to his white skin. His Bpat would forgive him. It was not that bad of a mistake, he hoped. Pushing away those thoughts, he looked around in order to get a better sense of the outer layout of the school.

And the first thing he saw was a figure lying down in the grass, basking in the sun's warm rays. Quirking an eyebrow, he neared the figure and found out it was a female. Was she asleep? From the looks of the female, her eyes were closed and she seemed to be breathing evenly as if in slumber. He nudged her with his foot after hearing the bell ring loudly, echoing throughout the school. That must have symbolized the start of the next class.

"Why are you sleeping here? You are a student of this school, da?" he asked, placing the suitcase onto the lush, green grass. "The bell has rung and you should be going." He nudged her again. "Wake up."

Colours! Bright colours, everwhere Aimée looked. The fish were happily swimming around her, and with every move they made they changed colour. Aimée laughed, and swam after them.
Suddenly, a disturbance was felt through the water. The fish panicked, and began to swim closer to her so she couldn't see anything anymore.
"Wait, what is happening?" Aimée yelled. The fish all swam away from her, and an enormous cage was coming right at her. Then a fish suddenly bumped against her head. "O-oi!" Another fish came at her. "Stop- The cage!" Then the fish hit her head.

"The cage will catch us!" the girl yelled. Aimée's eyes shot open, and she quickly grabbed the fish that hit her head. Fish? She looked at the leg in her hands. Then she slowly rose her head to see the person who the leg belonged to, and blinked her eyes a few times to make the sleepiness dissappear. A boy was looking down at her. Though the next thing that distracted her were cards that were floating around him, as if they were living their own lives. Those seem like to be having fun! People at this school always seemed so much more interesting.
She noticed she was still holding the other's leg.

"A-ah, excusez moi!" Aimée apologized, and quickly let go of his leg. Though the cards seemed to be spreading a fun atmosphere, the boy wasn't looking like he was having any fun. Why is he looking at me like that? It's weird.. Maybe she should distract him for staring at her like that, because she didn't feel comfortable udner it at all.
Aimée looked around, and noticed something odd.
"Wait.. Where is everyone? Did something happen?"

This was not happening, this was not happening, this was not happening! This could not be happening! Alice had had never been late in the past two years she’d spent at Asher Academy – as far as she could recall, anyway – and she hadn’t been intending to start here. On the first day, of all days! She’d never live this down. Never. Ever.

Not that the other students would care at all. They’d most likely just laugh at her embarrassment and congratulate her on her advancement from being a stuffy old woman who freaks out the moment she begins to run a second late for anything.

But it was her pride that mattered here! If she didn’t find some way to get herself into class within the next thirty seconds, she’d always have to bear the dark feeling in the pit of her stomach that was becoming increasingly heavy, drag on and spend the rest of her life with it, always looking back and sighing, muttering remorseful ‘if only!’s over and over and over a-and—!

Her eyes were drawn to the figures of two other students directly in her path as she abruptly broke out of her frenzied reverie. A boy and a girl, both obviously late much like herself, though neither of them seemed to be particularly worried about it. Of course, that probably had to do with the fact that the female had just been jolted awake from a peaceful nap from the male’s utterances.

Alice patted her hair and clothes down rather self-consciously; adjusting the glasses perched daintily on the bridge of her nose, and continued onwards – in a much slower and calmer pace than she’d been running in up until then. She approached her fellow classmates and cleared her throat in a way that was obviously meant to capture their attention, and stood with her arms crossed, an unimpressed look plastered all over her face.

“You two! You do realise that the first bell has already rung, do you not? That means you’re late. Why aren’t you in class already—“

She stopped herself before she went on any further, suddenly realising that she was in the exact same situation as them, and had no right to be going off on a lecture. She’d have to work on not letting her bossy control freak side taking over whenever it so pleased, because more often than not it got her into some very sticky situations. But for now, she simply pursed her lips waited for their responses.

Nikita was obviously displeased, the cards in the air still, fluttering from time to time. He had nudged the sleeping female yet she continued to be in slumber. The most reaction he was able to receive was a rather panicked muttering. He was just about to nudge her again when she screamed the words 'The cage will catch us'. The cards fluttered a bit wildly due to Nikita's surprise from the sudden outburst. But he quickly regained himself and found himself to be even more displeased. The pigtailed female had her arms wrapped around his leg. Only his family members were allowed any physical contact with him.

He was just about to detach the female from his leg when she woke and stared up at him with wide eyes. He stared down at her, noting that the sleepiness in her eyes slowly changed into one of interest. The cards shifted throughout the air upon hearing the female's words as she relinquished her hold on his leg.

Excusez moi.

French. This female spoke French. He despised French and French people. That blond Frenchman, Francis Bonnefoy, was it?, has, one way or another (He hasn't been able to find out yet), caught the attention of Sestra-Anya. That was more than a good reason to fully detest the entire French ethnicity. The cards bristled in annoyance.

"Everyone is not here due to the fact they are in cla-" Nikita stated, only to be interrupted by another pigtailed female. Apparently pig-tails were the obviously hair trend these days... not that he really understood. Having one's hair down was obviously more appealing to the eye. He thought of his twin Sestra and Sestra-Anya who both had their hair down. Da, much more appealing than pigtails.

He stared at the blonde pigtailed female who spoke about tardiness. This day was not turning out well for him. First late, then touched, then interrupted, then reminded of his tardiness. Four hits in a row. His eyes narrowed in displeasure.

"You have no right to speak, da?" he spoke coldly. "You are just arriving as well. You do not have the authority to point fingers at me and say that I am late. I am fully aware of this fact and I believe that you are fully aware of the fact that you are late as well, seeing how you stopped in mid-sentence, da?" A cold smirk tugged on his lips. "Learn to control your loose tongue, da? Or I shall personally rid of it for you."

Somehow, the boy managed to look even more displeased as she went on talking. Was she doing something wrong? Ah, but she still wanted to know the answer to her question.
Aimée was eagerly waiting for the boy to answer, when all of a sudden a girl came up to them and answered the question before te boy could. E-eh.. I'm too late? And she only decided just to close her eyes for a minute when she arrived at school at bit too early.. This was bad! The girl with the glasses also said so!
She looked really strict. She looked with such accusing eyes that Aimée felt like she could see every little mistake of Aimée. I-I don't want to be punished!

She should get inside as soon as she could, maybe that would help a little.. And she wanted to get away from this scene as quickly as possible. She stood up and patted the grass of that stuck to her. Aimée froze when the boy suddenly replied to the other girl. So cold How did she end up with these two people? This is bad. The other girl didn't seem like she would just happily nod and accept a reply like that. It would be better if Aimée said something before she could.

"E-eh. Right! So we're all a bit too late, huh?" Aimée tried to smile. "How silly. Well, it could happen to anyone! It's not as if we're robots who can do everything perfect!" Okay, the beginning was good. Now she just needed everyone to get inside and go to their own classes.
"So how about we get inside now? I'm sure they'll forgive us!" She reached out, grabbed the hands of the other two students and tried to pull them towards the school.
