She didn't like the cafeteria. She really didn't like it at all. It was loud (which wasn't a huge deal), it was usually crowded (also not the biggest deal) and she hated the pattern on the linoleum. Piper could deal with crowded and loud but ugly? No, that was the thing that caused the little brunette to regard the space with ever so slight contempt. Yes, the freshman was ridiculously high and might in terms of aesthetics if nothing else.
As she made her way through the cafeteria line, polka dotted purple plastic backpack in tow, the girl tapped her feet impatiently. She didn't want to be stuck in the area for longer than necessary, let alone stuck still waiting for her cheese sandwich and chocolate milk that might even encourage let growth spurt to actually occur. She would have wiggled and shoved her way through the line but cutting the queue at a school where every student could be a member of the Xmen? Not the best idea, even to her.
Finally, the obnoxiously long wait was at an end! Grabbing and subsequently paying for her beloved cheese sandwich, chocolate milk, carrot sticks and cookie, Piper got out of the cafeteria as quickly as possible.
At long last she had made it! The courtyard, that was where the girl liked to be. The fresh air, flowers and most importantly, the absence of linoleum made it a far better place to actually enjoy lunch instead of just scarfing the food down with lightning speed and trying to escape the room. Which was dangerous, she found, on the choking front.
Grinning a little grin, the Australian sat herself on the nearest bench and dug into her lunch, swinging her legs a bit as she ate. As soon as she finished her sandwich, cookie and milk, she threw the crusts and container out and tucked the carrots in her bag for later. Now was the real reason she preferred eating outside.
Getting out the 64 pack of chalk from her bag, the girl paced the area for a bit before deciding what masterpiece she would gift the school with today. With a serious expression, Piper had reached a decision and sat herself down at the center of the cemented area before digging out the prettiest purples, oranges and yellows from the package of chalk she so treasured. Today she would be doing an homage to Tangled and with that in mind, she began drawing.
