Water droplets smacked into Mathias' face, arm and legs as he made the trek from his sparring class
back to the dorms. Why late classes weren't cancelled today was completely beyond him, but mark his words, if he was going to blow away, he was going to throw a tantrum. Or at least, get mad or something. Yeah...!
And he wasn't wearing a coat!! He should've known better! Why did the school even offer late courses? It wasn't like this place was a university! Sparing was so exhausting too. Especially when he was up against the overly motivated younger students that were all too eager to run around in circles around him and jab punches- rather painful ones- right into his ribcage. All it took was one knockout blow for him to get back at them.
But it didn't stop him from still getting exhausted by it all. And tonight with the rain... Man and today had been such a lovely day too!
A loud crackling boom sounded over the sky and the Dane found himself glancing upwards with apprehension. Seemed like they were in for a pretty crazy storm hunh? He tightened his arms around himself and picked up his pace, flinging himself through the double doors of the boy's dorm. A slight chill crept over him and he shivered, his body not really enjoying being both wet and cold at once.
Mathias stood in place a moment, wiping the water off of himself to the best of his ability, knowing that he’d need to change his clothes. He was literally drenched from head to toe. He could only hope that the other kids in his class made it back better than he had. He hadn’t even seen them leave. Maybe he was just too eager to get back to his friends or something. But whatever, he was inside now! He just needed to get some dry clothes on and he would be good to go.
He quickly bounded back to his dorm, tugging off his shoes as he unlocked the door the lazy man’s way (via his powers) and moved towards his dresser. He wasted no time and pulling off his clothes and slipping into his pajamas. (Which just so happened to be a pair of shorts and an old t-shirt.) He then pushed his wet clothes into the hamper and plopped onto his bed, crossing his legs Indian style.
What was he supposed to do next? And where on earth was Antonio? He thought of calling the Spaniard, or dropping him a text, but like himself, Antonio never really answered his text messages, and when he did it was pretty clear to Mathias that the guy hardly even knew how to use the thing. Antonio was probably the only person alive anymore who was worse at technology than himself. So he could only just sit and wait and hope that Antonio wasn’t sleeping alone in some classroom, not realizing that class ended hours ago. It certainly seemed like something that he would do.
Maybe he could just… He slipped his phone into his fingers and flipped it open, using the tiny keyboard to open a new message.
hey nata cone to our dorm its stormt and im lonely:D
Okay so there was a typo or two in there. He couldn’t help that it was exceedingly hard to type when you had to click the button like three times before you got to the letter you wanted. A lot of the other students seemed to have fancy phones with computer keyboards but… he wasn’t sure if he wanted to get used to another phone… especially if it was some kind of weirdo high-tech one.
He laughed to himself, setting his phone right in front of him, waiting with anticipation for a reply from her, but it wasn’t more than twenty seconds later that he found himself flopping onto his back and starting at the ceiling. They were already taking much too long for him.
