If a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, the magic of a bunny shaped pastry would cure cancer, at least in Piper's own opinion. Which was totally right of course.
Sitting alone at a cutesy-ly decorated booth, the Australian girl hummed to herself as she admired the puff pastry she had ordered moments ago. It was just so..just so ..."damn cute....," she sighed happily.
There was one problem though; how could Piper have the heart to eat this delightful creation?! She could near feel it's chocolatey eyes peering into her soul and begging for mercy!
"Don't worry, li'l fella..." Piper whispered to it, cradling it to her nonexistant chest. Maybe she could...yeah! She probably could do that!
Closing her eyes, she focused all her energy of the pastry, envisioning the warmth, the softness, every little characteristic that makes a rabbit.
Feeling the lump in her arms twitch with life and immediately snuggle up to her, she giggled in triumph!
"You're so cute~!" Piper near squealed quite loudly at the rabbit, forgetting about near everyone around her.
Alfred sighed as he walked down the street. It was only his first few days in Asher Academy, and he was already struggling with his lessons- namely, Math. Math had never been his strong point in school, even before he went to this school. Frustrated, he decided that he'd just go find something to eat. Something like burgers...But he didn't see any fast food joint around, so he settled for a pastry shop.
Upon stepping into said shop, he had to admit- they had a variety of wonderful-looking and absolutely mouth-watering pastries. He picked one, and went to sit down in the..rather...overly-decorated booth, according to his taste.
He was about to eat said pastry when he heard a rather loud squeal from the next booth.
You're so cute~!
The squeal made him look towards said booth, and he saw a young girl with brown hair..cuddling a live bunny pastry. And a live bunny pastry could only mean one thing.
"...Are you a student from Asher Academy?" Well, bunny pastries don't come to life just like that. And being one with a superpower as well, he knew that it could be a possibility.
(OOC: Hi there Wy, hope you don't mind me joining in!)

Oh shit, she had been found out!
How much trouble would she get in for the live rabbit in the pastry shop? Well, the rabbit was originally a pastry itself and did retain some of the pastry-like traits...Maybe she wouldn't get yelled at.
Wait. Instead of being lectured at, the voice had simply asked her if she was a student at Asher Academy. Piper finally looked up at the source of the voice. Oh, it was a blond boy who looked significantly older than herself but not quite like an adult.
"Yeah, I am!" Piper answered with as much authority as she could.
Alfred gave the girl a one-over. She does have a small stature... She was a chocolate-haired girl with a band-aid on her face. And a student in Asher, as the girl had answered defiantly.
"Oh, I see!" Alfred beamed. "I'm a student there, too! I'm in 11th grade, and I'm the world hero, Alfred F Jones!" Alfred then introduced himself. Taking note of the bunny-pastry the girl was cuddling, Alfred started raining questions on the girl. "Then, I assume your powers are bringing objects to life! That's so cool! Can you bring comic books to life? Or statues? Or books so they can fly? Your power is so awesome! Then, you can be my sidekick! I'd appreciate a sidekick right now!" Alfred beamed. Having a sidekick with such a cool power!, that would be awesome, hero-levels awesome!

"Piper Evans, freshman," she stuck out her bunny-free hand to shake. Then, of course she was bombarded with so many questions that her head began to hurt a bit. Why the heck does he have so much energy?! Alfred, or so he introduced himself, acted like a five year old on a sugar-high. "Are ya usually this weird?"
"Yup, I can bring works of art to life..usually it has to been somethin' I made myself though but occasionally if I try wick'd hard, I can bring other people's creations to life. No too sure 'bout statues yet and I think a comic book would exhaust me." Piper answered all but the flying book question, nuzzling the bunny in her arms.
When she got to the 'sidekick questions, her cheeks puffed out. "Why would I wanna be your sidekick?! I don't even know you, let alone what you can do!"
When Piper (that was her name..right? Right.) stated that he was weird, it was his turn to puff out his cheeks But he ‘wisely’ pretended he didn’t listen to that. No, there was no way on earth that he would be considered weird. He was the world hero, and heroes are in no way weird. No, they are terribly awesome, they got featured in books, they got to be in movies, they have their own merchandise! But his disappointment soon faded as he listened to what the girl can do.
“Wow, those are pretty amazing powers! That’s really cool, y’know, to be able to animate art stuff!” Alfred beamed. If he could have those powers… He grinned. Oh, he could see his favorite heroes come to life without having to enter the book at all, and he could maybe ask them to teach him how to fly and they could save the world together.
His contentment was, however, short-lived. This girl is obviously doubting him. “We can probably fight for justice together! Beat the shit out of the bad guys! That’d be completely badass.” Alfred prattled on. “And my powers? Well… I can’t bring stuff like that to life, but I can enter books. Picture books, to be exact, and energy manipulation. I can create blasts of energy if I try hard enough, and I can create force fields to defend myself.” Okay, he wasn’t too good yet at the force fields bit, but he’s not going to show it to the girl. There was no way a hero would admit weakness to a girl!

Piper hated to admit it but she was in downright envy of Alfred's powers. Forcefields AND being able to enter picture books?! That was kinda amazing. Piper wished she had another power in addition to art animation. Ahh...that would be great.
"That is pretty cool..." Piper, after some great reluctance admitted to the blond eleventh grader.
After some careful consideration, she did, in the back of her mind, agree that she could do a lot worse than to be his sidekick. After all, it seemed like their powers would work pretty awesome together. yeah, being able to enter books and her ability to animate art..yeah, that would a pretty badass one-two punch of power.
Cuddling the bunny pastry {whom she had named Stevie} to her chest, she gave a smile. "Sure, I guess I'll be your sidekick."
"But...I'll be more like a co-hero! Not like the worshipful way Robin treated Batman! We need to be EQUALS 'cept I guess, if we had a team name, yours would come first." Piper insisted upon such treatment. Just because she was a kid, it didn't mean that she wanted to be treated like one. Of course, if they ever had the opportunity to fight anyone, she'd have Alfred do most of the work!
Alfred huffed gleefully as he saw the girl acknowledging his power. Yeah, he's the hero, and that means he's got to have awesome powers. Like the powers in his oh so favored comic books. Now if only he could fly. Flying and soaring free! ...Now he wished so badly that he could fly.
Piper's sentence, however, brought him back down to Earth and the present. Oh, cool! She just agreed to be his sidekick! Not bad. First few days, and he already has a new sidekick- wait, what? She wants to be a co-hero instead? Well, doesn't matter. Either way, it works with him. Co-hero or sidekick, he's happy to have someone fight alongside him against the evils that try to overthrow justice from its rightful reign.
"Hey," Alfred mused, "we could be a totally awesome team! You can animate art, which means if I bring a comic book with me you can try and animate the weapon in there, and we can use it for fighting crime and saving the world! And if we ever get in trouble we can either hide in a book or I can create forcefields! You can animate your own art, right? That means you can draw cool, badass stuff and animate it to scare off people!" With that, Alfred flashed off his trademark smile.
"So," he started again, "I'm kinda new in this here school. Y'know, you can show me around here, and maybe we can get ourselves into some adventure as hero and side- I mean, co-hero! How does that sound?"

Piper was actually fairly proud that, even as someone fairly new to the school, she had already had someone to be the hero to her sidekic- co-hero. She was certain her parents would be quite proud of her accomplishment of sorts. Piper was a freshman and she was already on a team; that had to be a record, right?!
And their abilities seem to mesh well together..always a plus. It was weird for hero-sidekick teams to have clashing abilities. That asymmetry of sorts bothered her artistic sensibilities.
As to the question of her being able to draw bad ass things? "Extremely bad ass things. Like bunnies or maces~" Piper declared proudly to Alfred, hands on her hips. Of course, that left the pastry-rabbit to wander the cafe.
Luckily, the bunny stayed relatively close, wiggling its nose and hopping to Alfred. Piper watched as it attempted to climb up the American's legs. Piper let out a little giggle while observing the action.
"Sure, I'll show ya around!" Piper puffed out her chest, feeling important. Of course, she didn't really know her way around campus too but still. It gave her a chance to be a leader! She could just BS whatever she didn't know; it worked well enough on tests anyway.
