No watch. No clock nearby. Yet, it did kinda feel like class would be starting soon. Although, there was no way of telling. Heracles had been frantically searching his bag for his class schedule. He still hadn't memorized all his classes yet. Unfortunately, the schedule was not in there.
Swearing under his breath, Heracles looked around for a clock for the umpteenth time. Still no way of telling the time. Well, of course. A clock wasn't just going to pop out of nowhere. but apparently, he still needed to look.
Oh! Cell phone! Heracles dug around in his pockets, but his phone wasn't in there. So he looked through his bag. Thank the stars, his phone was there. He flipped it open. "Oh..." There was about ten minutes left until the next class started. Not counting the fact that the clock in his phone was a bit off. But, he was unsure if it was seven minutes behind or seven minutes ahead... Anyway, that (kind of) solved the time problem, but Heracles still didn't know what his next class was. He'd find out eventually.
He closed his phone and put it back into his bag. He had no idea why he had put the phone in his bag instead of his pocket in the first place, but there must've been a reason. With a sigh, Heracles adjusted the bag on his shoulder and started walking toward the school again. He wasn't going to go inside, just wanted to find a place to sleep until his next class. Maybe the bench right outside the door.

Santiago Carrera was always on time for class. In fact he knew exactly what time it was and he knew that there was only five minutes until class started. Class was actually one of the few things he was ever on time for. He always had to give people time to prepare for his arrival. It made things simpler on their own part after all, but he decided to come to class earlier today than usual actually. You see, Santiago had a large apple in his big, a thick textbook, along with a week old essay that he had JUST finished. He had to have a way to win the teacher’s heart after all. Considering how late his essay was. His teacher had already told him that the next time he decided to hand something in late, he wasn’t going to give him credit, and that was that. But Santiago wanted his credit. He NEEDED his credit. After all, he frigging worked his butt off all weekend to make this essay perfect. Sure, he took a few more naps than maybe he should’ve, but that still didn’t mean that he wasn’t working hard when he was awake did it!? No. it didn’t.
Letting out a rather deep throated sigh, Santiago ran a hand through his hair before taking a wild dash out of the dorm room he shared with a certain rather ill-tempered Swiss kid, and paced down towards the school. He had noticed that the Swiss boy wasn’t in bed, and wondered idly where he went, before the thought popped into his head that he was probably just visiting his sister or maybe out taking an early test or something. Certainly he wasn’t um… shooting at people right? Or prowling the school with his gun looking for his next victim was he?
A shiver ran down his spine and he quickly suppressed it. He couldn’t let his fear of his Swiss roommate’s guns get in the way of his getting to class early to hand in his papers. Although that was probably why he was a sidekick. He was so scared of just about everything. Sometimes he wondered if there was anything that he wasn’t afraid of. He couldn’t even use his powers properly unless he was really mad, and even then that didn’t happen very often. But then when he was mad, they really spiraled out of control, which really caused a lot of people to get hurt. Well, he’d only gotten into one accident his whole life, and that wasn’t even that bad. Although it did cause a few of his friends to stop talking to him, it wasn’t that bad. But he’d definitely been afraid to use his powers and he was afraid of people since then. Not that he could really help it. He just sometimes wished he was even the tiniest bit braver. Maybe then he’d be able to get trained using his powers instead of how to stay out of the way and occasionally toss a few weapons.
But as he got closer to the school, he noticed someone standing by the entrance looking rather hopelessly lost. Who was it? Had he seen this kid? He couldn’t remember. His messy hair certainly needed a good combing though, that was for sure. But he wondered why in the world the kid seemed to be lost in some kind of wonderland. How completely ridiculous. One should always know their classes!
He paced over to the kid rather quickly, and placed his hand on his shoulder, “Hey you look lost. Do you need help with something?” Yes, Santiago enjoyed helping people. It actually really pleased him to help people most of the time. And when someone needed it and he was around, he’d always be there. Even if it was someone he didn’t really know.
…oh he was such a sidekick! Always helping people, never taking the lead! When we was he ever going to learn?
((Hey! Sorry this took so long! >u<; But here it is! Yay for internal conflictttt. Dx And yes. Today I went on a replying spree. THE REST WHEN I GET HOME. 8D))
Heracles jumped slightly. He had zoned out to the point where he was about to go to sleep. The hand that was clapped onto his shoulder suddenly jolted him awake. Yet, he reverted back to his half-asleep self almost immediately after wards.
"Oh, help?" Heracles asked. He didn't really hear what the other boy had said. "Well...You know what time it is?"
He tilted his head to the side a bit. Not enough for someone to really notice it right away. The other boy; did Heracles know him? Probably not. He never really talked to anyone, so he didn't really know anyone, for that matter. Which made talking to others even more difficult. It was this little circle that ended up with Heracles being that one kid who no one knows or has talked to. You know, then everyone makes up insane rumors about said kid?
The thought crossed Heracles' mind that, once he found out what time it was, he still didn't know what class he was supposed to go to. Couldn't someone go to the office or something for these sort of things? Or just wander into a random classroom and hope you get it right. Although, there was a large chance you'd get it wrong...
“Yeah. I know what time it is.” Santiago smiled at the other boy, “We have about… four minutes until the next class.” He moved his hand away, and to the strap of his backpack, “Did you need anything else? After all, I am a part of the student council. I should be able to help you with any troubles you may have regarding the classes and whatnot.” He tilted his head to the side and offered the other boy a warm smile, before placing his hand on his shoulder once more. He was never able to really keep his hands to himself. Not that it was a big deal to most people, it was just that some people found his touchy-feely-ness to be rather bothersome.
He was just about to ask why in the world this weird boy looked like he was about to fall asleep, when suddenly a loud scream sounded in the air. The scream caused him to bolt upright. Straight and rigid. Not a single tilt in his posture. He pulled his hand away from the tired-looking kid, and turned towards the scream.
It was just a scream right? In a school full of super heroes… there was no way that he was the only one available to help. After all, he was just some silly little sidekick, who was still in tenth grade. The most he’d ever done was climbed a tree to help a kitten down. And that was only because he liked animals quite a bit, and didn’t want the thing to get hurt. Of course there was always the training and what not, that he had to train for and what not, but he was never the type to actually go and confront danger. In fact, for the most part, he completely avoided it when he could.
The scream sounded again. This time there was pain in it. Santiago felt all of the color drain from his face. He now pulled both of his hands nervously to the straps of his bag, and began to grasp at them tightly. Shoot he couldn’t just stand here. What if the scream was a woman that was getting mugged, or an underclassman that was getting bullied?! Santiago couldn’t stand for that! He had to prove to the other council members that just because he was younger didn’t mean that he couldn’t do anything!
“U-um… I’ll be right back!” He shook his head at his rash decision, and turned to run away and find out where the scream was coming from, before he realized that his bag was quite heavy, and turned back around and set his bag directly next to the other boy, “K-keep an eye on this will you? I gotta defend my position!”
He actually would’ve liked the other to help him out, but he didn’t know anything about the kid. The boy could’ve been a total coward for all he knew. He could’ve been much more cowardly than even he himself was. He could’ve been the type to avoid things like this like oil avoids water. But then there was always the chance that the boy was one of those weirdo air-headed heroes that rushed headfirst into everything without thinking. And although he didn’t really seem the type that would be that reckless, there was still the off-chance that was indeed like that, then maybe he’d be quite helpful actually.
“A-actually… I-I’m not sure what that was, you want to come investigate with me?” His voice was barely audible. The confidence he’d had before had drained away somewhat, and truth be told, he didn’t want to go. But something inside of him told him it was the right thing to do, “I don’t want to go alone…”
Yes he was scared. So what? He hated confrontation anyway.
Many thoughts crossed Heracles' mind when he heard the scream. 'Was it someone I know?' 'Is someone getting hurt?' 'Is a teacher involved yet?' All this, and more, Heracles thought in a matter of seconds. Now, don't get him wrong, he was a bit scared. It would be weird if someone wasn't scared. Yet, there probably are some people at this school who wouldn't be. Heracles was not one of them.
“U-um… I’ll be right back!”
"Wait, should I..." Heracles had said it so quietly that it was doubtful the other boy had heard him. And he had stopped mid-sentance, so if the other boy had heard him, he would've thought Heracles had changed his mind.
“K-keep an eye on this will you? I gotta defend my position!”
"Erm..." Heracles looked down at the other boy's bag, now sitting next to him. He sounded unsure; the other boy did. He must be scared as well. Of course, he would be.
Heracles had slipped deep into thought again, so he had not gotten a chance to say yes or no. He was snapped out of his reverie by the other boy's voice, asking if he wanted to come with. Well, he didn't want to come with, but it felt like he had to. He was a hero, afterall. And heros have to work hard. ...Dang it, heros have to work hard. He's never thought of that untill now.
"Yeah, I'll come," he said with a nod. He slipped his bag off his shoulder and placed it at his feet. Yes, he was planning on leaving it there. There was nothing really important in there besides his cell phone. He dug through the bag, thankfully find his phone rather quickly, and stuffed it in his pocket.
Santiago let out sigh of relief, happy that the other boy decided to come along with him, “Thank you!” He exclaimed lightly, grabbing a hold of his arms, “Let’s go then, come on!” He began to run-drag the sleepy looking boy towards where he had heard the screaming from. In his heart he hoped it was just a bug or something, and whoever was screaming was overreacting because they were that afraid of bugs. But something deep in stomach told him that that wasn’t what it was.
It was probably some weird robber that was planning on killing them all… oh that would be just lovely. To die at the hands of a robber, just because they decided to play super-hero. Yeah sure, it was part of their duties at their lovely school, but that didn’t mean that they actually had to act on it! They were still just kids!
And just when Santiago was getting to the worst of his worrying, he suddenly realized that he had forgotten to introduce himself. How rude of him! He was supposed to be a representative of the student council! He really hoped that maybe this kid had heard of him, so he wouldn’t feel as rude as he was feeling right now, “By the way, you might’ve heard of me… my name is Santiago. Santiago Carrera to be more specific. I’m the treasurer in the student council so you may have heard of me… I’m a tenth grader. Oh! And I’m a sidekick… so if you are a hero you’d better take the lead, because I might not be able to do very much.” He usually wasn’t able to do much when it came to his powers anyway, because of his tendencies to run away when things got too dangerous for him, and personally, he was never really all that fond of using them anyway, “I’m sorry we couldn’t meet under better circumstances!” He flashed a grin and began to pick up his pace when another piercing scream erupted into the air.
“Oh shoot we need to hurry!” He continued dragging the boy around until he suddenly saw the source of the screaming. One of the younger students was standing with her back against the wall, whimpering loudly. Another, larger group of students were standing in front of her, cackling loudly. Oddly enough it was a bunch of girls and Santiago would’ve felt a like a complete jerk hitting a girl, but he still held his ground, silently observing the group who had yet to realize he was there.
“This will teach you to talk to our idol!” The lead one shouted out, pulling her fist back, “He is supposed to be ours! Cretins and underclassmen like yourself are not allowed to speak to him!” Santiago almost immediately face-planted. He knew that as much as he adored and respected women, sometimes they could be quite insane, and it was quite sad that he was able to pick up on the situation so quickly.
A smack of skin against skin though, quickly pulled Santiago from his thoughts about the craziness of women, and he jumped towards the three older girls, sincerely hoping that his new friend had his back, because something told him that he wouldn’t be able to take on these girls by himself. Especially because the whole two against three ratio wouldn’t exactly work with someone as physically inept as himself, and a weird bullied freshman girl fighting against three rather punky pop divas.
“Hey! You’d better stop that! Or we’ll stop you ourselves!” Santiago could feel his voice quavering a bit, the confrontation was a little too much. Just a little too much. Oh God… he was so going to get his ass handed to him wasn’t he!? Oh he wasn’t ready to tell everyone that he lost in a fight against a bunch of girls. What would that do for his image!? No, no, no! He couldn’t let his image be ruined just yet! He was only a sophomore!
He looked to the other student for assistance. He was his last hope.
((Okay~! You are allowed to play the divas or even the bullied chick. I don't care either way. \o/ I hope I gave enough to go of off! Also. This school needs an idol fan-club thing.=u= ))
Heracles half ran, half was dragged by the other boy. The dragging caused him to stumble a few times, but he never fell. Thank goodness for that. If he fell, that would waste time. And, as much as Heracles wanted to waste time, he knew he couldn't do that.
That was when the other boy introduced himself: Santiago Carrera. Hearing Santiago suddenly introduce himself reminded Heracles that he hadn't yet either. There'd been no time. "Um, nice to meet you?" he said, his statement sounding more like a question. Since it was a bit odd to be introducing themselves in a situation like this. "I'm Heracles. Heracles Karpusi."
Right after he said his name, Santiago suddenly stopped, almost causing Heracles to run into him. Thankfully he didn't, but that was the least of his worries now. It looked like one of the younger female students was getting attacked by other students. It did not occur to Heracles that all of them were girls. nor would he have really cared all that much.
“Hey! You’d better stop that! Or we’ll stop you ourselves!”
All the girls turned toward them suddenly, causing Heracles to stand a bit rigid. He had no idea what powers these girls could have. They could be amazing for all he knew.
"Don't you think we should just tell a teacher or something?" Heracles hissed at Santiago, never taking his eyes off the girls. They seemed to be smirking. They must know that Santiago is a sidekick, as most people do, but no one has really seen Heracles around. They must not know he's a hero. Although, if they did, they probably would've been smirking anyway. Heracles' power isn't really the strongest. Or, at least, he doesn't think so.
"And what are you going to do, huh?" A girl's hostile voice suddenly snapped Heracles out of his reverie. She was facing them, her hands on her hips, still smirking.
"Um..." Heracles looked at Santiago, hoping he had a plan. But, just by looking at him, that didn't seem likely.

Before Santiago had gotten to the girls, he had managed to catch the first bit of Heracles’ introduction, and had heard enough to at least catch his first name, and of course Santiago would’ve normally gone on to ask his grade, his age, his power, his classes, whether he was a sidekick or a hero, and all of that that stuff, but right now there were more pressing issues at hand. After all, a girl was being attacked!
"Don't you think we should just tell a teacher or something?" …Oh it was so brilliant. So brilliant in fact that he felt like a completely and total idiot for not thinking of it earlier. In fact right about now he wanted to hit his head up against a wall. If only he was brave enough to keep a distraction alone—which he totally wasn’t—because then that would give Heracles time to attempt to find a teacher who could help. A teacher who would have better control over their powers, instill more fear in the snobby high school girls, and probably actually be able to get them kicked out of school. Two students were weren’t thinking things through before jumping into a crossfire were unable to pretty do anything. Blah! He felt so dumb! Oh why!? He wasn’t usually this headstrong! Was he trying to show off or something!? Did he take a weird drug before he started on his trek to class?
"And what are you going to do, huh?" The head girl’s voice caused Santiago to glance up slowly from his own place. She definitely sounded a snooty as she looked. A blonde-haired-blue-eyed-shorter-than-most-people-chick who was carrying a large bag… Santiago honestly thought it couldn’t get any snootier than that, until she opened her mouth. But in a way it made him smile, because he never really knew that American stereotypes could actually be as true as they said. But apparently they were.
…But then it came back around the matter at hand… what in the world was he going to do? Could he really do anything? First of all, he didn’t know what kinds of powers these girls possessed, and second of all he wasn’t supposed to hit girls! He’d been taught at a very young age that girls were delicate beings and that they didn’t enjoy being hit and that men should never hit girls if they wanted dates… or something… He wasn’t sure. But either way, he wasn’t supposed to hit girls, so he never did.
“I-I’m- I’m going to—” Santiago’s voice froze up, “I—” The head girl smiled wickedly at him, the corners of her mouth seemed to be curling up at the ends, a Cheshire cat smile of sorts that sent shivers down Santiago’s spine. Why did he think he could do this!? He was stupid and crazy. He was incredibly disappointed in himself. He didn’t know what to do and now he was going to have to pay for his stupidity.
“Well!? What are you going to do!?” The girls behind the head girl started laughing, and Santiago suddenly felt his anger explode. He then did something he never thought he’d ever do in a million years. He bent over, grabbed a handful of dirt, and tossed it directly into the girl’s face. The girl let out a loud gasp, followed by a loud wail, “Eww! Ewwewwewww! It’s in my hair ewww!” She began to jump around a bit, flailing her arms wildly, “How dare you throw dirt at me!? Who do you think you are you stupid little boy!?
“I’m not little! I’m fifteen!” Santiago felt a small, (extremely small) smirk form on his face. And it wasn’t because of the girl’s reaction, it was because she was distracted, which distracted the others, which allowed for the girl that was being pushed around to jump up from her spot and dash away after winking softly towards the two boys, which meant that, luckily for Santiago, that their mission was complete, which meant they now had permission to turn tail and run the hell out of there.
He grabbed Heracles’ arm and began to dash away from the girls, but before he even got five feet away, something large, hard and almost electric feeling hit him in the back. He was sent flying forward about thirty or so feet, and he was unsure of whether or not he had managed to let go of Heracles’ hand in time, but either way, the numbness spreading up his body told him that he’d been energy blasted for the time in his entire life. And he… he was definitely not enjoying it. It hurt like hell and it seemed to be creeping up his body making him feel cold and empty. Wasn’t energy supposed to make you feel hyper and excited and bouncy? No… this was just making him feel… rather tired and cold. Shit.
But luckily for him, he managed to pull himself upwards, despite the cold sensation and the shock, and stomped his foot on the ground, causing the ground to start rumbling, which would not only knock the girl off balance, but would also probably end up knocking him off—and there he went, colliding into the ground. Which didn’t really feel good to his somewhat hyped up body. “Hey Heracles! She’s throwing energy balls! Help me out please!?” Oh please let someone come… please… Why did he turn his back!? How stupid of him? Couldn’t he do anything right!?
Heracles couldn't really keep his focus on the situation, so it seemed like everything went so fast. One second, Santiago was fine. In what seemed like a second later, Heracles was being dragged away. And now, Santiago is lying on the ground. It was just so confusing at the moment.
It took Heracles a few seconds to finally understand what was going on. The girl was attacking them with clearly dangerous balls of energy. This power was completely new to Heracles, and he had no idea how to fight someone with them. But, he might as well try. It was really his only option.
He thought about helping Santiago onto his feet first, but that might give the girl enough time to shoot both of them. That wouldn't be good. But it didn't feel right to just leave him there. What if he can't get up again?
In a spur of the moment action, Heracles widened his stance and glared at the girl. He made a sound deep in his thoat that sounded more animal than human. "Get out of here," he growled. Literally.
The girl didn't seem to take this warning seriously. She laughed loudly, readying another energy ball in her hand. She looked as if she was about to say something, but stopped suddenly, her attack wavering slightly for a moment. She stared for a bit, then burst into more loud laughter, the girls behind her laughing as well.
Now, Heracles hasn't really gotten used to his power yet. He's known about it for years, yet still hasn't used it enough to get it own right. So, instead of turning into a mountain lion like he wanted to, he only had a few elements of a mountain lion. The ears, sticking out of the top of his head; a long, brown tail sticking out from the back of his pants and curling around his waist; and green eyes, looking axactly like a cat's. Even for Heracles, it was a bit embarrasing. He had assumed he'd turn into a scary puma, not...this. No one could take him seriously looking like this.
Santiago was just about to start running towards the girl again, when suddenly out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Heracles suddenly throwing himself into the action. He actually growled at the girls, and Santiago actually thought for a moment that their lives were saved. That was… until he saw the result of the transformation. He tried not to smile at what he saw… he seriously tried not to laugh…but… but it was just so cute! Santiago clapped his hands to his mouth to try and stop the laughter from escaping, but he just couldn’t help himself. But oh god it hurt a lot to be laughing so much… but it felt so good. It was a strange sensation. He knew it had something to do with the energy ball that was just lugged at him. Stupid thing… it was making him act weird. But it appeared as though he wasn’t the only laughing at Heracles’ weird transformation. There was also the matter of a certain energy ball tossing girl who was now rolling on her sides in laughter along with her friends.
“Ahahhahh! You two are such losers!” She exclaimed, “I bet you two fail training classes all the time!” Santiago glanced towards the ground, his giggles dying out… he most certainly did not fail training classes! He was actually one of the best in his training class! Sure it was a sidekick training class, and his class was one of the smaller ones… but it was no matter! He was a hard worker and that was the most important thing. Plus his teacher said that for a young weather manipulator, his powers were very under control. So he felt quite proud of himself when it came to his powers.
“I- I never fail training classes…” He uttered quietly. But the girl didn’t hear his pleas. Either that or she was ignoring him… instead she grabbed the arms of her little followers and shook her head, “This has been fun my little friends!” He voice came out as quite the loud cackle, and it sounded snooty and haughty. He shook his head to himself, “… But we must be going now. We have unfinished business! Like our training classes.”
Ugh how he hated people like her. They really pushed his buttons… and normally he didn’t really get annoyed at anything until he got on one of his whiny rants about something that was annoying him, and something else was brought up and he suddenly found out that whatever that particular thing was… it was actually quite annoying… he was losing track of what he was even thinking of anymore. His mind seemed to be bouncing all over the place. But at least the girls were gone. That was a good thing. Hopefully they wouldn’t go after that other girl again, although it did seem kind of likely. Those girls were somewhat crazy looking.
Once the girls were gone though, Santiago walked… or more liked bounced—over to Heracles. His hands were shaking quite intensely, and he tried to focus as he placed them onto Heracles’ shoulder, “Umm.. you’ll get it right next time! I have faith in you!” His words exploded from his mouth rather quickly, and they sounded as bouncy as he felt, “I mean, I hope this wasn’t what you were intending, because that would be just strange and I’d probably never look at you the same ever, ever again. Even though you are kind of cool, and I’m really happy to have met you!” Oh boy what in God’s name was he even saying? So much for making sense. And trying to be more popular. This kid probably thought he was some kind of crazy person! When he totally wasn’t. It wasn’t his fault he was feeling more bouncy than a Mexican jumping bean that had just taken a month’s worth of steroids all at once! And he was usually so calm too... that was a bummer.

Well, that was...a bit odd. Heracles blinked a few times at his friend. He felt awkward, but he sure didn't show it. In fact, he looked bored. "Um...thanks," he said, not knowing what else to say. "This usually doesn't happen."
Even if he felt embarrassed looking like this, it was kind of cool. It was like he was a cat, but could talk to humans and walk on two legs, which is so much easier than walking on four. It was good he thought that, because he also didn't know how to change back correctly. For some reason, it wasn't the same as before. He probably did it wrong.
He took a few moments and closed his eyes, focusing on turning back. Oh, thank God it worked. He pulled his pants up slightly, tightening the belt he was wearing. Stupid tail.
"At least it worked..." Oh, yeah, it worked. It would also probably turn his social standing from the-guy-who-doesn't-talk-to-anyone to something like the-hero-whose-power-is-to-grow-a-tail. Even though Heracles didn't really care about those things, he did care about the people who may laugh at him. But, he quickly shoved this thought away. Thinking about that isn't going to fix anything.
A sudden thought occurred to him. They must be late for class now. Or, at least, late to a point where they'd never make it to the classroom in time. Heracles didn't even know where his class was, let alone how to get to it in a small amount of time. "What time is it?" he asked, glancing over at Santiago. "How much time until class starts?"

Santiago smiled lightly, before pressing his hand against Heracles’ back, “I’m sure you’ll get it better next time! Don’t worry! All I can do is make earthquakes… How lame is that?” Well that wasn’t exactly the truth he could manipulate the weather a bit, but he wasn’t exactly all that good at it. Apparently that was why he was a sidekick or something and not a hero. That was the reasoning the school administration used. They said that his tendency to run from trouble and the fact that he was afraid to use his powers made him more of a sidekick. He wasn’t going to even mention on top of that they told him he was underdeveloped and lacked any muscle tone whatsoever, but that was beside the point, ever since he came to the school he had been working really hard at beefing up, and becoming tougher, but that hadn’t gotten him anywhere. He was still a sidekick and that was that. And oddly enough… he was okay with that.
He leaned over Heracles again. Now he was beginning to remember the name. Heracles Carpusi… He was seventeen and one grade level higher than Santiago was. Santiago suddenly felt very young. But at least this was where his high position on the council helped. He remembered going through the files of the students that attended their school, and he now knew that Heracles was in fact, a hero. How he got to actually be a hero was somewhat beyond Santiago’s comprehension… either way though, Santiago could honestly say that Heracles seemed like a cool guy. Cool enough that the two could possibly be friends…
A friend, hunh? Santiago rather liked that idea. No, Santiago wasn’t the type of kid who had absolutely no friends and was just dying and desperate to have one, he just always liked making new friends and meeting new people! It was a lot of fun! If what his mama said was true, that, “you can always tell friend from foe simply based off vibes,” then it was very clear to him that Heracles wasn’t an enemy. Which gave him a good feeling, and made him enjoy making friends. He was by no means, popular, but he liked to surround himself with people he got good vibes from, and he definitely got good vibes from Heracles. Unlike the girls of whom he got bad vibes from, there wasn’t a single bad vibe coming from his new friend.
Santiago suddenly realized that they were indeed late for class. In fact they were very late for class. Class had started about five minutes ago… oh that was lovely. And he was planning on arriving early too! This was just ridiculous… Since when did he become the type to act so irrationally!? Either way, standing around and idly chatting and getting into fights they were destined to lose wasn’t helping him get to class any earlier… and on top of that, he still felt like he was about to bounce out of his pants from the energy blast. Oh this was just fun… he felt like such a rebel or something. Like he was on the run from the police… like the two of them were a group of Wild West Desperados.
He grabbed a hold of Heracles’ hand and began to drag him along back towards their bags, which were sitting in front of the school now. Santiago was glad that none of the sticky fingered more villainous students hadn’t stolen them, and picked up his own bag and slipped it over his shoulders, followed by Heracles’ bag. He held it out to him, and grinned widely, “Thanks for letting me drag you around today! It was loads of fun!” Maybe that was just destiny or something, “I hope we can be friends later! Also, if you need help getting around the school, I’d be glad to help you!” He turned towards the building once more. Who said he needed to rush off to class right this second anyway?
