Soo Yong looked between the paper the administration gave her and the door, double-checking it was the right room. After a moment, she nodded, folding the paper in half and stuffing it in her jeans pocket, taking a deep breath. This was it. Her new home-away-from home. No crazy scientist mothers. No shadow puppeteering fathers. No constantly fighting triplet bros knocking into her room. Just her, and whoever else was beyond this door, for an entire year.
In a sudden swell of nerves, Soo Yong wondered if her roommates would be nice to her. Would they be Heroes? Sidekicks like her? Would it matter? The Korean's hands fluttered in her sleeves, before she clenched them tight. She straightened up, grinning with determination, and entered the dorm.
"Hiya, da ze!" Soo Yong greeted, waving her sleeve.
A few seconds in the ringing silence of the living area, kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom alerted Soo Yong to the fact that the dorm was, in fact, still empty.
Blinking a bit, the Korean deflated, letting her arm drop and looking sheepish. "Ehe, all that build-up for nothing, huh?" she commented to her hair curl, blowing it gently to make it bob. Well, at least that gave her more time to set up.
Soo Yong wandered further in towards the bedrooms, peeking in to find four beds, all in the corners. Sneaking a glance around, the Korean immediately jump-tackled one of the window beds, letting out a loud cry of, "Dibs!" She giggled aloud, brushing back her bangs, and sat up on the bed properly. With a cheeky grin, she pulled a tabby-colored kitten plushie from her sleeves, setting it on the pillow as a decorative declaration.
With that, the cheerful Korean bounced back up, reaching into her sleeves and heading for the closet. Best to start unpacking now, right?
