What day was it today? Monday? Mondays were okay, and contradicting a popular belief, were not that terrible, it's the mindset people had. Matthew tried to remind himself of that.
But Matthew really didn't like lunch periods. He never had a spot to sit in, and loneliness was never something he enjoyed. Not only that, but he had to keep a careful eye on his power. Invisibility. He had to make sure the lunch lady saw him, or at least noticed his fading figure. Today wasn't his day though, he went absolutely invisible without noticing, and had a few people scream at a moving tray of food. He managed to turn back before someone poured chocolate milk on him to make sure he was there.
He payed for his lunch, and shuffled away in embarrassment. He wanted to disappear from all those giggling students. Disappear..Disappear- Oh no. There it went again. With a sigh, Matthew decided that it didn't matter now. He'd just watch out for people, try not to bump into anyone, and go on his merry way to eat in the corner of the cafeteria, or in any other spot no one sat in.
He did feel a bit jealous though, of all those people who were sitting in groups of pairs, chatting away and laughing. Matthew wasn't a depressed person. Far from it. But when it came to these moments, he really felt like a failure at life. And out of all the possible useless powers, he had this one.
Non the less, he began to walk, trying to spot an empty area. When he though he had it, he noticed an albino sitting there, facing him. Oh, well of course, no one could see him. Shrugging it off, he turned to find another spot..
