`DIMAS LAU!
`YOU KNOW IM NOT MUCH BETTER WITHOUT YOU!
NICKNAMES
AGE 17
GENDER Male
ETHNICITY Macanese
GRADE 11th
SPECIAL ABILITY(s)
Card Manipulation: His main power is the ability to control cards at will. The kind of cards they are doesn't really matter, but he prefers to use playing cards above all else. He can sharpen the edges of them easily, which is handy if he decides to use them in combat, which is one of the only things he can do with them. He can preform Card Imprisonment to some degree, though the times it actually works varies. He has more trouble trying to get things out rather than to get them in.
Death Sense: His second power - as the name implies - allows him to sense, usually either see in the form of visions or feel an unsettling "disturbance" in the air, the deaths of people before they actually happen or while they happen. He can't control when he sees/feels it; His visions are more at random while the feeling is right before or during. He doesn't like to share his visions, since it isn't the most pleasant thing to talk about. He knows he can't interfere and try to prevent it himself, no matter how much he would want to. Only rarely are his visions set in stone, usually they are only a probability as to what could happen. This power occasionally causes him headaches.
HOW DID THEY FIGURE OUT? Card Manipulation - He played a lot of card games when growing up, a majority of them being Go Fish. When being forced to play 52 Card Pickup for the first time in those younger years, this power of his began to show itself. With half of the cards in his hands and tired of searching for the remaining cards, silently wishing that the cards could pick themselves up. It took a while, but the cards eventually floated up in the air and placed themselves into the deck. He only found out about Card Imprisonment by pure luck, accidentally "storing" his wallet in a card. It took a fair amount of time before he finally manages to get it out.
Death Sense - He only became fully aware of this power semi-recently. He always did get that unshakable feeling and those terrifying visions, but he always passed it off as his imagination. He had no proof that the negative feeling was anything important, and up until that point none of his visions came true. His view on them changed dramatically when he got that feeling when out walking with a friend of his. He tried to ignore it, but it just wouldn't go away. While trying to rid himself from said feeling, he had stopped in his tracks and his friend began to cross the street. Out of nowhere, a car had run a red light and crashed right into them. Right afterwards, the feeling went away only to be replaced with overwhelming grief.

`YOU STOLE MY HEART THEN YOU KICKED IT ASIDE!
+ Gambling: One of his favorite pastimes. Nothing beats a good old fashion game of poker.
+ Festivals: He enjoys seeing the sights and sounds of everything. Whether it's with friends and family or by himself, he'll have a nice time.
+ Reading: He prefers older works, things along the lines of Journey to the West. It isn't uncommon for him to pick up a book and random and begin skimming through it.
+ Silence: It's relaxing, especially when trying to get over his semi-frequent headaches.
+ Hot Tea: It's delicious and perfect for any time of day, well at least in his opinion. He likes how there's such a large variety, his favorite has to be Raspberry Hibiscus. Also, he never did understand the allure of cold tea.
+ Hand Fans: Easy to carry around and don't require batteries or to be plugged in.
+ Delicious Food: He's a sucker for a well-cooked meal, especially if it uses many different spices.
+ Football (Soccer): It's the most popular sport back home, even more so than Rink Hockey. It will take some persuasion for him to even think of playing himself, but he will not hesitate to watch a match.
DIMAS DISLIKES
- Cheating: Despite being able to control cards, he doesn't resort to such dirty tricks. He finds such tactics to not be worth the effort.
- Loud, Sudden Noises: They catch him off guard and make him jump a bit. He isn't scared by them, not at all. He's just unprepared for them when they happen, not to mention they're way too loud for his liking.
- Unneeded Violence: He understands some battles must be fought, but ones just for the sake of fighting just seem unnecessary to him.
- Getting Angry: He doesn't lose his temper often, it may come into questions if he even does have one. When he does get upset, he wants it to get over with as fast as possible.
- Being Called Greedy: No one likes being called something they're not, Dimas is no exception. Even if it's as a joke, don't do it.
- Bad Weather: He isn't a huge fan of rain, even if he's been around his fair share of it.
- Disrespect: He treats people with respect, the least they can do is treat him the same way to some extent.
- Strong Scents: He doesn't mind scents in general, but the really overwhelming ones give him a slight headache if he's around them for too long.
FEARS
> Thunderstorms: He's had the fear since he was a little kid and he still hasn't got over it. He's been too many storms to be able to keep a tally on, but he still isn't comfortable whenever they happen.
> Snakes: He isn't sure why he's scared of them, he just is. They just freak him out.
> His Death Sense: He just doesn't like the fact he knows when someone might, or will, die. He doesn't want the person to end up being someone close to him again, or even himself for that matter.
QUIRKS
~ Superstitious: He believes in that sort of "mumbo jumbo", knowing a majority of them by heart. Sometimes he may carry a few of them out, or avoid doing them, depending if the outcome is fortunate or not.
~ Formal: Almost unbearably so. He insists on being as polite as he can be, he only seems to loosen up a bit around his close friends.
~ Shuffles His Cards: He always has a few decks on him at all times, not entirely for the purpose of being able to play some cards with a friend. He tends to shuffle them when he needs to keep his mind off something.
OVERALL PERSONALITY[/b]
Dimas is a bit of a mystery in all honesty. He appears calm, even in the most disastrous of situations, though what he's really thinking is a question that will be unsolved. He's good in negotiating for business, and he also tries to resolve issues without resorting to violence. He comes off as pacifistic but he won't hesitate to protect himself or the ones he cares for. He tries to not get in the middle of arguments others have and will simply stand aside and be nothing more than an a mediator if need be (He is pretty sensible, so he would surely find a way to settle everything), otherwise he will stick to being an observer. If it doesn't concern him, he finds no need to interrupt and will let things run their course.
He's a patient man who doesn't lose his cool easily. He doesn't mind waiting, though if it gets to the point to where something doesn't look like it will happen, then he'll take matters into his own hands. He won't use force to get things done right away, but it can't be helped if does end up happening. He hates it when it comes down to such tactics, since it can be easily avoided all together. He's very considerate, all someone has to do is explain and a compromise of some sort will be made.
He treats everyone with the utmost respect; Well, until they do something to flush that respect down the drain. He's pretty relaxed and forgiving, so it could take a long while for that to happen. There are a few things that would make him disregard all respect right away, and what those things are are as much as a mystery as he is. He's pretty cryptic, never really giving a straight answer. The reason why he does so isn't entirely clear, but if brought up he'll just ask "What are you talking about?".
He has a relaxed air around him, one that many people find a bit comforting in some way. He always has a small smile on his face, and in general he's rather easygoing. He can also be a bit playful, joking around with those he's close with, while still being polite. He isn't one to be entirely informal, but he'll drop some formalities once he knows someone would want it that way.
As much as he likes to gamble, he isn't a greedy person. In fact, he's anything but so. He enjoys gambling for the fun of it, he couldn't care less about whatever amount of money he may gain or lose, though he's often winning it. He just puts his faith in the cards and nothing more, that's all there is to it.

`WHEN HES INSIDE YOU KNOW THERES NO ROOM FOR ME!
[/font]He was surprised when he got the first letter, even more so when they kept showing up nearly everywhere. He didn't know if he should be flattered or creeped out by such obvious dedication. He decided to go with the prior, since surely if he did things will end up more fortunate...in theory, of course.
The latest note he got told him to meet them at a coffee shop of some sort. He nearly turned down the opportunity, but he decided to go in the end, mostly because he was curious to see who had been sending him all these love letters. Also, it would be rude to turn down seeing someone who brought up the courage to reveal themself to him.
He waited outside the building for a while, not sure whether or not he should actually go inside. After a while, he gave in and made his way through the door. He was greeted by a hint of vanilla covered by the stronger scent of coffee beans. He wasn't a huge fan of the drink, but he did like the the smell of of it. He smiled softly as he took a seat at a nearby table. He wasn't sure when exactly the person would come, or if they even would. There is always the chance that they turned chicken and decided to not show up.
A minute turns into five, and those five turn into ten. No matter how much time passed, he continued to sit and wait. His gaze floated around the room, not exactly sure what it was he was looking for, or rather who exactly. Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice the person that had approached him. He turned his gaze to them, that small smile still on his face. "Hello, nice to see that you made it here in one piece. I was worried that something else must have came up," he said, gesturing for the other to a seat. Blushing wildly, the other person hesitantly took the seat opposite of him. Well, this sure will turn out to be interesting in the end, one way or another.
