`PIPER EVANS'!
``YOU KNOW I'M NOT MUCH BETTER WITHOUT YOU!!
NICKNAMES Anklebiter is the one most commonly used and of course, the most dreaded.
AGE 14
GENDER female
ETHNICITY Caucasian||Australian
GRADE Freshman
SPECIAL ABILITY(s) Her art can initiate life. Be it a chalk drawing, pen and ink, a painting... she can will the products of her artistic pursuits into reality. Oh course small, living things such as flowers and animals are the easiest but if she concentrates with all her might, Piper can create entire scenes. Of course, that leaves her rather exhausted and in a bad temper...
HOW DID THEY FIGURE OUT? When bunnies and flowers started appearing around the house as soon as could pick up a crayon, her parents started to pick up on something. The fact that Piper could talk to her drawings didn't help her parents' sanity..or the fact she covered every surface of their home in scribbles.
By the time she was four, she was able to make the conscious decision as to have her drawings come to life or not. Before that, it simply...happened. It was difficult to explain to their neighbors why rainbow colored tumbleweeds rolled around their backyard so when Piper was able to control her power, the Evans family was quite grateful.
Of course, Piper was never afraid of her power; in fact, she was quite fond of it. She didn't actually view it as particularly special until preschool where no one else's drawings came to life and her's did.

``YOU STOLE MY HEART THEN YOU KICKED IT ASIDE!!
*Rabbits: The endearing way they twitch their noses, their softness, their sweet demeanor? Piper has been infatuated with bunnies since she was a toddler. Her rabbit plush (a constant companion) is a testament to her fondness of bunnies. In fact, Piper has a bit of collection of bunny themed items. Erasers, pencils, notebooks, bedding...she has it all.
*Arts: As someone who's creations come to life, how could she not enjoy arts? Anything to do with creative expression, she adores. She hopes to attend art school as soon as she is done with the Asher Institute.
*Shorts: They have the dignity of pants and the sense of freedom a skirt gives. In Piper's mind, they are the pinnacle of great clothing.
*Staying up late: The world is at its most beautiful and mysterious when night falls and she feels obligated to witness it. Also, staying up late was something she never was allowed to do at home so she takes advantage of her slight freedom in the dorm by doing so. Also, it makes her feel ever so slightly grown up.
*Summer: Piper is of the rare variety of people that enjoy blistering heat. So what if her hair looks horrible? Summer is the season of no school!
*New art supplies: Nothing brings a grin to her face like a brand new set of paints, just begging to be put to use. The possibilities that new art supplies entail are only limited by her imagination.
*Being put in charge: She may give off a somewhat quiet first impression but she is a bit of a bossy individual. Piper knows (or at least pretends to know) the best way to do everything and she leaps at any opportunity to demonstrate it. If there ever was a class representative or student council election, she would immediately nominate herself.
*Adventure: Nothing slays a creative mind quite like being struck with ennui so in order to keep herself from going insane, Piper is constantly questing for an adventure. Exploring the woods for art supplies? Trying to find a cave? A treasure map? As childish as it may be, she may not be able to contain her enthusiasm. Sure, Piper may initially protest about going on such a fool's errand but in the end, she would be one of the most dedicated on having fun.
*Bandages: As wonderful as stickers are, bandages top them. They are practical, colorful and (according to her at least) when she puts one on her forehead, it draws attention away from her ever so slightly bushy eyebrows. Piper almost compulsively buys bandages with the same passion as she does rabbit- related things. Sparkly bandages, ones with interesting patterns and shapes and ones made to look like tattoos are her favorites!
PIPER'S DISLIKES
*Being told what to do: As much as she likes being in a position of authority, Piper dislikes others ordering her around. It's simply stifling and obnoxious to the Australian girl!
*Invasion of privacy: Piper has just entered the phase in adolescence where if someone so much as enters her room, she treats them like they are the Spanish Inquisition. People leaning over her shoulder are her number two pet peeve. Although, she more often than not, has nothing real to hide, the very concept angers her.
*Overly rambunctious people: As horrid as those with no passion are, those who overdo it are worse. Loud (especially drunkenly loud) people earn themselves a glare and maybe a correction in attitude from Piper.
*Cold/ winter: As a summer person, it's fairly self explanatory as to why she hates winter and coldness in general. Besides, wearing shorts is a less than wonderful idea in chilly weather...
*Vegetables: They are disgusting, come from under the ground and the fact she doesn't eat them is probably why she is so short compared to others her age.
*Andy Warhol: Four words- not a real artist.
*People teasing her about her eyebrows: Yes, they are bushy but they are small! Piper is a bit afraid of the concept of waxing or plucking them but it still hurts her when they are the object of teasing by others.
*Having to wear tights: They restrict the lovely freedom of bare legs/ feet so they drive her insane.
*Freaky looking fish: Piper is perfectly fine with most varieties of aquatic life, even jellyfish, but if it looks like it came out of a Tim Burton film? The girl will shudder and perhaps even burst into tears.
FEARS
*As embarrassingly childish as it may be, she's terrified of the dark. She keeps a flashlight or a nightlight with her at all times.
* Anglerfish. Look up a picture of one and you will see why.
QUIRKS
*She is never without her art supplies or stuffed rabbit. In fact, she even sleeps with them under her pillow.
*Piper chews her nails to stubs when she gets nervous.
OVERALL PERSONALITY[/b]
▪
Stubborn: Piper has been known to argue with people to the point of exhaustion, bringing up near non-existent points because she simply cannot accept losing. It is simply not an option to her. She will not accept that certain jars will not open and that there is no way to slam a revolving door. Piper is most definitely a 'never say die' sort to a fault.
Creative: She lives for the arts, which is understandable considering how she can will her creations to life. It isn't just painting and drawing she limits herself to, she adores the entire category of artistic expression. Poetry, dance, acting, music; she delights in it all. She's even started to explore sculpting as a creative outlet.
Restless: Her insatiable quest for amusement and fun isn't limited to not liking to be confined to a room. If Piper is required to limit herself to one activity to do or contemplate over at a single subject at a time, you will have a very displeased young girl. Unless she can completely lose herself in a subject, it's best to give her multiple things to mull over at once.
Childish: As mature as she believes she is, Piper's inner 5 year old tends to rear her head often. Pouting, slamming doors, sticking her tongue out at people, not being able to sleep without a night light? Far from the adult she pretends to be. The fact that she cannot part without her stuffed Bunny, Peaches, is just the icing on the cake of her immaturity.
Sensitive: Much to her great shame, Piper takes everything said to her to heart. Though she puts on a disaffected front, she truly is as sensitive as any young girl. She even gets slightly depressed whenever someone teases her about her eyebrows and may even cry (though she hates to show tears in public).
Brash: Piper has a temper and a vocabulary which is far better suited to a sailor than a young lady. She tries her best to not cuss around teachers but every so often, she slips up and lets a colorful word pass through her lips. She has a terrible temper and cannot tolerate being teased (even playfully).

``WHEN HES INSIDE YOU KNOW THERE'S NO ROOM FOR ME!!
[/font]Group projects would have been a less dreaded thing if she could pick the people she worked with. Of course, such a thing did happen on occasion but it was more the exception than the rule. Certain teachers always seemed to team sidekicks together and to Piper, that was not okay. She knew that by the time her senior year rolled around, she will have made it to the hero class. She just knew it. All she needed was better control and bam, it would be all of a week or two for the switch. It was felt to her very bones she had hero powers and it would not be fair that once the inevitable move up happened, these assignments of groups will have stopped her from knowing any of her future classmates.
Grumbling of the soft sort under her breath, the Australian dragged her desk and chair with an ear splitting screech to the group she kept being assigned too. A girl who could change the tastes of food, a boy whose powers were dairy based and another who could communicate with small rodents. Lame. Well, to be fair, they were pretty okay as classmates went. Dairy Boy was always happy to do the presentations assigned and The Rodent Whisperer kept them on task. Flavor Girl actually liked doing the math involved. All of let her plan any posters. Maybe once she was moved up, Piper would still talk to them, give them a bit of street cred. Yeah, that was the plan.
