Will walked through the library looking for the science section of the library. Surely that was where he'd find the horticulture books, right? His homework was to look up more information about plant biology. He searched the aisles and eventually found the aisle where the books on plant biology were. He grabbed a book about that, and then he grabbed another one which was more about showcasing different varieties flowers than their biological make-up. Nothing wrong with a reward for hard work, right?
He sat at one of the tables for studying, and opened up the book on plant biology. Now that he had the book he was trying to remember what the teacher wanted him to do. Was it a diagram of the different parts of a flower, or was it how they feed, or was it photosynthesis? He really couldn't remember, so he decided to work on all three and hope for the best. He opened the plant biology book to the page that had a diagram of the different parts of a flower, and sighed. He'd learnt a lot of this stuff already back home, so why did he need to learn it all over again? Maybe they don't know what he's already learnt? Right. Focus.
He started drawing the first diagram, and the pencil slipped out of his hand. Damn gloves. Why did he wear the tougher ones today? He picked up the pencil and started drawing again. The flower was finally starting to take shape when he dropped the pencil again. Dammit! He picked up the pencil again, and managed to finish the first diagram without dropping it again. He labelled all the parts of the flower he'd drawn, and finished off the diagram. He set it aside, and started work on a diagram of photosynthesis.
He turned to the pages in the book about photosynthesis, and started drawing again. He'd only just started when he dropped his pencil again!
"What's the bloody point of drawing these stupid diagrams!" He muttered, then yanked off the offending glove with his teeth in frustration. He placed the glove on top of the flower book, and picked up the pencil again. These diagrams may be pointless, but at least now he could keep hold of his bloody pencil!
