As Mathias started up the car and pulled out of the parking lot, he moved back to the Estonian’s question of his laptop, “Well um… you see, I was doing science homework… you know, one of those lab things? And well when I was looking up one of the answers cause I was getting mad that it wasn’t in the textbook, the screen starting spazzing out. Like half of it became these weird line things, and I couldn’t see it, and it only made me even madder… So the screen started getting even worse! So then I picked up the laptop, and I chucked it against the wall… and one of the hinges broke... so half of the screen is duck taped to the bottom half. I don’t really use it though. One hinge isn’t very helpful in these situations...” Not that not having a computer was really a big deal in his opinion. All they did was provide something for him to type up essays on and do research. But even then the library seemed to serve that purpose just as well most of the time.
Mathias pulled his seatbelt on as he drove out of the parking lot, and made sure to look both ways as he pulled out onto the main street and started heading for the town. One good thing about Math’s driving was that he always drove the speed limit. He never drove too much under or too much over because he hated speeding, and for the most part hated speeders as well. It wasn’t that hard to drive a certain speed so you didn’t die was it? Or at least that was how he looked at it. But then again, he shouldn’t really be getting mad at people who disobeyed the speeding laws when he himself had taken a younger student away from the school in a borrowed car…
He began to scan the streets for a store that wasn’t the main electronics store but… was smaller or something? He didn’t even know what he was supposed to be looking for. He did know where the large one was, but of course his new acquaintance was going to make it challenging for him… trying to feign down his agitation, he swallowed deeply, and gripped the steering wheel more tightly. It was the least he could do for the kid… try to find some smaller electronics store so he didn’t make things explode.
Well... it sounded like a similar situation to his. But then again, Mathias could probably make things explode no matter what size the store was… so that was why he quickly shifted his mind from the fact that they passed the larger electronics store.
“Are you sure this place exists?” Mathias laughed uneasily, peering out the front driver’s window, “I don- Oh there it is...” The place was located in a small strip mall, and he probably would’ve missed it if he didn’t have the good vision that he did.
He pulled into the parking lot and turned carefully into the closest available spot open for him. He then let out a deep breath of air, and turned with a grin towards Eduard, “Is this the place you were talking about? I’ve never been here before.” He pulled the key out of the ignition and slipped it into his pocket, “If it isn’t then you can tell me and we’ll just go somewhere else.” He really hoped it was, because this place was so easy to find, and knowing his luck on his bad days, he probably would have a hard time finding the real place if this wasn’t it.
