The library at Asher Academy was impressive, to say the least, with the widest variety of books Raivis had ever seen. There were books that could help with subjects from school like mathematics or grammar, classical novels that everyone knew because they were require to read them throughout high school, adventure stories and horror stories and... everything but love stories, little romantic mini-novels that could be available anywhere else. The young blond had been looking for something to take his mind off of homesickness. He missed being back in Latvia, being around his family, waking up to clear cooler weather, having a cozy house in a spacious neighborhood instead of being trapped in a dorm room with hallways full of more doors leading to other just-as-small rooms. Classes managed to keep him busy most days; but on weekends, he needed something to take him away, and had read through every other book he had brought with him twice already.
Skimming over the shelves as he walked by, keeping a careful eye out for anything of interest, Raivis would have been easy to miss in the seemingly empty library. He was quietly minding his own business, head held low and shoulders pulled up nervously. Even though he had the ability to vanish from sight completely, Raivis hardly found it necessary out of class. Nobody had really bothered him here, not often anyway. He minded his own business, he carried on through the day, he had talked to few people and few people had talked to him.
Violet eyes brightened as he noticed a small section of Collections of Poems, thick hardcover books with older-looking pages, full of poems of all kinds. That was perfect!! A faint smile formed on the Latvian's face as he grabbed one of them, a book made up of the works of an American named Frost. With no place else he needed to be that day, Raivis made his way over to one of the tables and set the book down; and in no time, he was fully immersed in the world of fire and ice and fantasy. Finding something from the library to distract him had proved successful. He would not have noticed if anyone else bothered to come in that day, or if hours passed before he looked up.
