Even if school was pleasant, it could be incredibly boring as well. Natalya didn't exactly have a hard time in school, quite the opposite actually, she had an easy time to catch up and get along with the homework and work overall they where provided from the school. Her problem was that the lessons and work itself that was boring. Same old things all the time, nothing new and exciting to make her want to do the schoolwork instead of joining the other kids to groan whenever the teachers where handing out the papers. She where usually silent, but lately a groan or two had been escaping even her during these times.
Currently class going on was Maths, a class she was acing pretty good as well, even if she didn't like to stand out too much and did a wrong here and there by her own accord to not come off as a too bright kid, no one liked a smart-ass, and she definitely didn't want nor needed more attention than she got thanks to her complexion. She had been unable to sleep during the night, and was trying not to fall asleep too often, but she always choose a chair further back so she didn't have to mingle too much with other students and could mind her own business, and fall asleep against her arms as well.
She didn't wake up until the bell went off, being rudely awoken from a pretty nice dream she had. Yawning slowly for herself as she gathered her stuff and going for next class, which also happened to be the last one for the day, History. Not a subject she was overly-excited about, yet it was something she could sleep thorough as well if she wanted to. It was easy to find information about it on the internet or books in the library if she might miss something what the teacher might call "important." Or she could just open the books they had gotten for each class and actually at least try to look like she's studying.
Reaching the class, going through the same procedure as she always did. Choose a seating, sit down, mind her own business and listen now and then. Sure, she could be a good student and listen as well, but a night where she had barely slept left no room with energy to concentrate on nonsense like this. She'd rather be out and try her powers, to see what her limit had come to be now, if it had changed or not, or if it was still the same as it had been when she had entered the school. Sighing as she looked up when the teacher entered with little interest, and then out of the window, listening with half-a-ear when she spoke, but froze once she announced they where gonna have a group project in this class now and a few weeks forward. All the History lessons would go at doing this project, a big one about one special event in the history that had happened, and make a big project and present it in front of the class. Either as a film, poster, flyers or whatever they felt like doing, as long it was good, they spoke for at least fifteen minutes each if they wanted to at least pass it.
Sitting still, frozen, she didn't like group projects, especially since the teachers had a thing for pairing her up with the lazy asses who let her do all the work because she wanted to pass the classes and not be left standing there like an idiot on the day of the presentation. So she closed her eyes and rubbed her temples, waiting for her name to be called.
"Natalya Arlovskaya and Lukas Iversen."
Opening her eyes and looking at the teacher with a slight questioning glance. Now knowing whom the kid she was gonna be with was, or even how he looked like. Probably in her class more than she paid attention to, or she might recognise him if she saw him, just not name-wise, since she didn't know anyone properly in her class.
Going towards the room the teacher had designed them too, she was quick to pack up her things and head over to the group-room they luckily had gotten, some other people in their class had ended up in a hallway or something else boring, but luck was a bit on her side today, wonder if it would last..
Going inside the group room, she was the first one there, and put her things down as she took a seat on one side of the table, waiting, a usual bored expression was on her features, not showing the slightest hint of being curious on whom might be the one she had been paired up with. As long it was someone she could kinda accept and not try to pin up on the wall, it would be okay, she hoped at least.. Throwing glances now and then towards the door, the clock was ticking slowly, or maybe it was just her wanting time to go faster so it was almost going backwards. Trying to make time pass by thinking of what they could work with, but her mind was blank. No hopes until she saw whom it was, it would be a lot better that way, no disappointments would be made then.
