The room was quiet, tranquil, and free of the obnoxious sound of students, perfect. Matthew sighed with easiness and slowly crossed the threshold of the Lounge, smiling to himself how the sunlight spilled in form the wide windows, warming the atmosphere. The room was furnished with various comfy-looking couches, a large plasma TV, various gaming systems, as well as vending machines stocked with candy bars to soda pop with a few potted plats filling the corners of the room. Usually, the common room with filled with laughing children, hardcore gamers, and sometimes not so conspicuous couples who takeover the loveseats. Today however, it was nice enough that most of the students were taking advantage of the summer sun and were at the beaches or in the village, not wanting to waste the day by remaining outside.
So why was this particular blonde Canadian boy wasting the day so to speak? Well, it was too bloody hot for him that’s why and he could feel the bear within him reluctant t brae the hot tropical weather so, he decided to takeover the lounge in the name of Canada! Smiling more to himself at the brief thought of him removing a huge Canadian flag to literally “takeover” the space, the boy shook his head in good humor and began to look around, deciding if he should try his hand at the multiple of games that previously were never available to play.
Plopping down on the couch, the homework he could work on still in his backpack in his dorm, Matt reached up to push his glasses up the bridge of his nose when something caught his eye on one of the shelves by the TV. Grinning with interest, the boy slid down onto his knees and removed a box from beneath a small stack of People magazines, making them fall down behind the shelf to join others, and Matthew looked down at the white box on his legs with the bold letters staring up at, reading “LIFE”.
“I haven’t played this in forever…” he mused to himself, idly removing the lid and skimming over the rules. Sadly, it was a multilayer game and it would be beyond depressing and pathetic if he attempted to play by himself. So, the blonde began to put the lid back on to go back to looking at video games.
