(Ohhoho! Is that an Iggy I spy as one of the dormmates? )
Ugh. . .The flight to America and the taxi cab ride was horrible. The airline food was revolting, Mason had to sit beside one of those people who snored loud enough to shake the Earth, and the "short cut" the taxi driver had told the Asian boy about had gotten them lost for about 2 hours. The boy regretted the very moment that he agreed with his parents to attend this "special" boarding school, for kids like himself, so he could hone his "abilities" and make them useful.
The only problem was, Mason couldn't think of what would be a reason for him to leave. It wasn't like he did any major damage to anyone or anything. Sure, if that other guy had stopped disturbing Mason's peace when he "politely" asked him to leave him be, the other kid wouldn't have to be sent away to the hospital with minor 3rd degree burns. Or, Mason was sure that the burning of a part of a local school wasn't his fault either. Nonetheless, it all resulted in Mason now having to live in America around other "freaks" just like him.
After having his taxi driver finally find where Asher Academy was, Mason tipped his driver respectably and dragged his luggage to the dorm rooms. The "nice" receptionist lady, though Mason wrinkled his nose at that drag she was wearing, happily told him his room number, handed him a key to his room, and just continued to smile at him as Mason walked off. The Asian boy vowed to help that woman one day; perhaps giving her a tip about what people wear in the 20th century.
"Err. . .One-oh-Five?. . .is. . ." Speaking out loud, with hisrock garglingaccent, Mason finally found his room after a half a hour searching for it. The Asian shoved the key into the door knob and opened the door to see...
"No one's hear yet?. . ." Looking around and down to see if there were any shoes on the ground, Mason slipped his own shoes off and left them near the door way as he vowed to find the bedroom. "First dibs on beds!", Mason thought as he entered the room and look at the 4 beds before him. Thinking it was too hard to choose himself, he threw his luggage onto 3 of the beds and plopped onto one, nearest the window, for himself. "First come, first served!" He smirked to himself as he closed his eyes to snooze for a while.
