Julius' body almost acts as a solar panel, and his powers stem from being able to harness the energy of the sun.
Immense Heat- One aspect of Julius' ability is that he is able to produce immense heat from his body that is directly correlated the sun's cycles. The more direct that the sun's rays are the hotter he can become. The temperature is also higher in the summertime, and during sunny days. It is hottest during solar flares, and weakest at night. In fact, during large flares, his body can become so hot that it'll begin to change. It'll begin to glow and harden into something very similar to what people would view as magma. Of course this has no affects on him, but it can be very dangerous to those near him. It is a lot harder to keep his body under control during these times.
On a normal sunny day in the summertime (Which is almost everyday in Hawaii) he is able to bring his body to around 600F. At night he has little to no power and can raise his body heat up to around 150F. It is during these times that he has complete control over the temperature of his body.
With this power, it is also possible for him to set things around him on fire and create fireballs that he'll shoot using his energy beams.
Solar Beams- Yes, almost like in Pokemon, Julius is able to harness the sun's rays in order to create a hot powerful beam that he can shoot towards foes. Just like his heat generation ability, this too, is controlled by the sun's position in the sky. But because he has such a great handle on his powers, he is able to store some of the energy inside of his body to create blasts even when it is cloudy or nighttime. Of course these beams aren't as effective, but energy of them is still enough to send someone flying if they aren't prepared.
Energy Generator- As mentioned earlier, his body acts as a solar panel. Julius can harness the sun's energy and use it accordingly. With his body alone, he can power downed electronics and if there were ever a power outage in the school, he'd be able to power the entire school for as long as it was sunny outside. Once the sun is not shining, he can store some energy in his body, but not enough to keep power for long. This ability can be used to override systems and break them as well. (He does this more often, honestly.)
He can also power and charge hand-held electronics, but no, he hasn't tried, as he is terrible with technology.
Strangely enough, this energy seems to work with other humans, and his mere touch can re-energize a person if they are tired. But if he transfers too much energy it can also tire them out as well. (Or burn them.)
Julius has immense control over his powers, and is able to do a variety of things with them, but for the most part he does his best not to, in order to conceal his identity. But students are quite aware oft he power he possesses.
HOW DID THEY FIGURE OUT?
To say that Julius knew about his power's since birth would've been an understatement. Before he was even born, Julius's mother knew something was off about her baby. When she was pregnant, on days that the sun shone brightly, she would feel an intense burning in her stomach. This of course, worried the boy's father who immediately sought out medical attention.
None of the doctors seemed to know what was wrong with the woman or her baby, and her two previous pregnancies were perfectly normal- but regardless, they blamed the burning on hormones and telling her to get plenty of rest. Although the young couple didn't want to believe what they had heard, Julius' mother took the doctor's advice and finished off her pregnancy with plenty of rest, all the while coping with the unnatural feelings inside of her.
When his mother was giving birth, many people thought that she was going to die. The birth was extremely painful for her, and even once her son was born, his temperature was so high that he was kept in the hospital for months. Doctors were astonished and baffled that the child could withstand such high internal temperatures without dying, but a young mother who had been without her baby assured doctors that she could take care of him.
And took care of him she did. Being by his mother's side was enough to lower her baby's temperature so that for the first few years of his life, it was almost forgotten that he had this strange condition.
Growing up in the city of Rome, Julius grew up a very rambunctious and energetic individual. He would run around the neighborhood picking play fights with his friends but the worst thing of all, was that the young boy had a strange attraction to fire. He didn't really understand what it was that made the hot stuff so attractive to him, but he found that the more he looked at it, the more he liked it.
It wasn't until one fateful day, during a particularly hot afternoon, that something strange happened. Julius had been laying out getting his share of the sun's rays, when he realized something started happening to his skin. His arms started turning a bright white in color at first, but that didn't last for long. Shortly afterward, the rest of his body followed suit, and
although he didn't feel the effect of the heat on himself, he knew that his body was extremely hot.
It was so hot in fact, that when he went inside to ask his mother what was going on, the door handle that he grabbed began to melt, and just the mere brushing of his shoulder against the doorframe lit it on fire.
When his father and mother came into the room and noticed that their house was on fire, his mother let out a blood curdling scream, loud enough that it alerted the neighbors. Terrified of what was going to happen, the Italian boy began to run. As his home started to ignite behind him, he could hear people shouting and within seconds a full blown chase was on.
The more the boy panicked, the hotter his body grew.
The grass he ran across was set ablaze and those who got close to him were burned before they even touched him. It was a terrible predicament, but the boy continued to run, until he found some water. Exhausted and running out of steam, the Italian dived into the river, his hardened body sinking slowly to the water that boiled at his touch.
The water was peaceful as he sank to the bottom, and his body quickly started to cool. Before he eeven realized the water had returned his skin back to normal, he was being pulled out by a crane of some kind.
As soon as he was captured, he was quarantined and held responsible for the many buildings that burned that day. He was held as a menace to the city and wasn't allowed to see his family.
He wasn't let free until around four years later, when his family, with the help of an older superhero, fought for his freedom, and he was allowed to be home once again. But of course, for a child who had been labelled as a "pyromaniac" he had grown quite bitter. He avoided his parents and wanted nothing to do with his new siblings that had been born while he was locked away.
But the superhero friend his parent's had made, noticed the boy's behavior and got in touch with Julius. He told Julius to focus his energy into helping people and making amends for his mistake. So, at the tender age of fifteen, he became a sidekick, putting him on a path headed straight for stardom.

`EVEN WHILE WE SLEEP. WE WILL FIND YOU,
His Grandchildren- Being the ehm.. “loving” individual that he was, Julius had his first children at a very young age, followed up by his own daughter doing the same. Julius became a grandpa at a fairly young age and he greatly adores his two grandsons.
Women and Men- He enjoys attractive individuals... and having sex with them. He generally prefers women, but isn't against enjoying the finer things in life with handsome men as well. Julius is very much a huge flirt.
Singing- He tends to hum and sing quite a bit when he is in a good mood. It annoys people a lot.
Ornate things- He loves things that shine and sparkle. While he himself doesn't wear much jewelry himself (except for loads of rings and a cross necklace) he often buys expensive jewelry for the women he dates, simply because he finds it beautiful.
Battles- He enjoys studying battles and battle formations. Despite having no intentions of ever going to war, his knowledge of famous battles and military knowledge is almost unrivaled.
Wine- He loves wine a lot, and while he will drink the cheap stuff, he much prefers the really expensive fine wines.
Strong Guys- If you're tough, you're probably of interest to Julius. He takes great joy in people who can provide a challenge to not only himself but to each other as well. That being said, he does enjoy wrestling quite a bit.
Baths- He loves washing the stink of the day off. He kind of likes socializing while doing so, but being able to sit back in his bath with a nice glass of the finest wine is something he enjoys greatly. He prefers this over showers.
Latin- A very beautiful language. He loves the sounds and almost feels as though he should've been born speaking it. It feels very natural on his lips and would teach the it to anyone willing to learn.
The Sun- It's a bright beautiful object. It lights up the day and brings warmth and energy.
Ancient History- He has always had an interest history, but the history of peoples who lived in ancient times steal his heart. If he didn't follow other things on his life path, then odds are he would've followed his dream of being an archeologist.
Ceramics- He finds pottery as a form of relaxation. He sometimes makes interesting “presents” for people using his pottery wheel. He also likes looking at it and studying ancient pottery.
JULIUS DISLIKES
Darkness- It isn't that he is afraid of the dark, but his powers do not work in the dark. It really drains him. He isn't too fond of the night either.
Being beaten- He hates being shown up. Not to say that he hates losing... okay he pretty much hates losing and it's rumored that he gets a bit upset when he doesn't win. (Which is a lot more than you'd think.)
Cold- Even though he can control his body heat, he has to waste much more energy trying to stay warm on cold, dreary winter days. Ah, the benefits of living in Hawaii!
Rain- Rain makes him feel almost sick. It makes him quite lathargic and tired, and since it rains quite a bit in Hawaii, it isn't rare to find him napping on the job... much to the vice principal's chagrin.
Politics- Kind of a sore spot for him. He sometimes wishes he could ignore politics, but he knows it is something he must suck it up and deal with. He would much rather fight things out then have discussions.
Beer- It's not very good, wine is much better.
Being Alone- Where are the ladies? Where are his friends and family? Being in the presence of good (or bad) company is better than being alone. But as they say, it's lonely at the top.
Villians- People who turn evil because they can not handle their own emotions are weak. Of course when his students go astray he will do anything in his power to help them, but he prefers people fighting for what they feel is right rather than baseless destruction.
His past- His deepest regrets stem from the mistakes he made in the past. In fact, he almost hates his past self. Even though he knows he got what was coming to him, he can't help but wish things had turned out differently.
FEARS
Death- He doesn't want to die or fade away completely, in fact, he fears being forgotten.
Past Regrets- He is terrified of his past mistakes and how they'll affect his future. It is the very reason he hides his past identity from his students.
Vice Principal- The history these two individuals have is troubling, at best. Although they are mostly civil nowadays, the fact remains that the end of Julius' super hero days was in fact caused by non other than the vice principal himself. He fears that the current relationship that he has with the vice principal could be swayed by anything that happens.
QUIRKS
Reading glasses- He is getting old and his vision just doesn't work quite like it used to, unfortunately.
Baby face- His face betrays his true age. He looks a lot younger than he is.
Polyglot- He is fluent in Italian, Latin, English, and Greek. He finds Latin very enjoyable to speak.
Tanning- He tans very nicely. He uses this to his advantage.
His Family- He has a rather large family, and many of them attend the school or work there. It isn't hard to spot his relatives, as most of them have a similar flirtatious attitude to his own.
His Powers- He refuses to tell anyone his powers or use them during school. This is mainly because he doesn't want students to connect his identity of Milites to his powers. He wants to keep his school life completely seperate from his troubled past.
Religious- He is a Catholic and though originally he wasn't what one would call religious, in fact, he preferred to study gods of old. He found his religious calling later in life. He now finds time to pray at least one time a day.
Milites- Many people may remember this superhero from days past. He was known for being the best as what he did and actually saving people rather than destroying buildings. Merchandise was made, people dressed like him and chanted his names in the streets. However, his golden days were short lived. There had been rumors of many of his “crimes” being ones he himself committed in order to make himself appear heroic. When a close friend of his confirmed that some of the more famous stories going around about Milites were true, the once popular hero became a pariah. People trashed their merchandise of him, awards given to him were reclaimed, and his name became famously associated with negative things. Milites tried to fight it at first, making attempts to reclaim his name, but it was no use, and eventually this once famous superhero completely faded into obscurity. But what really happened to Milites? Many people believe that the Asher Academy principal is the true identity of Milites, but he'll never tell.
OVERALL PERSONALITY
Goofball- Of all the things Julius Silanus is known for, the biggest is that he is he is a major goofball. He is silly and tends to freak out over what might be seen as strange to other people. He chatters a lot about trivial things and is easily brought to tears. His personality can at times seem ridiculously overbearing, but his theatrics can be easily quelled if you know how to talk to him.
Lazy- Not that he isn't a hardworker, because that isn't true at all. He just has a tendency to fall asleep at the wrong time and pawn off all of his work to his second in command. That being said, Julius does actually enjoy the merits of his job and is willing to go to far lengths in order to provide his students with the best education he can.
Sneaky- He had always had a knack for getting into things he wasn't supposed to, but making plans and "going through the backdoor" so to speak, have always been specialties of his, and many people fear his tactics.
Bad Listener- His listening skills leave a lot to be desired. He prefers to do things his way, and often times will go completely against constructive criticism just because he thinks his was is right. Sometimes when he is going on one of his famous rants, it takes a good amount of yelling to knock him out of it.
Flirtatious- He seems to know all the right things to say to make someone feel good about themselves. Of course this puts people at ease when they are around him, and he will use this as an opportunity to ask people out. Of course this behavior seems to have lessened in recent years, since he is surrounded by children. Which doesn't stop him from taking out his flirting on the strict vice principal of the school.
Stubborn- Once he gets an idea in his head he won't let it go. He has a very simplistic view that usually means that he is right and everyone else can suck it. He doesn't like to seek help from others when he thinks he can do something himself. He will refuse to do anything else otherwise.
Old Fashioned- Although he is fairly open-minded when it comes to romance and such, he much prefers to settle arguments and such, "like men" and sometimes gets a little more wound up than he likes to admit. The way he handles children is much more different than the way he handles fellow adults, and though he has calmed down recently sometimes his rambunctiousness peeks through.
Funny- He enjoys making people smile, and will try his best to crack jokes whenever he can. Sometimes this behavior can be somewhat irritating when people want him to be serious, but it's all fun and games!
Protective- He acts like a wall at times. He will protect those who he takes under his wing to the best of his ability. He has a tendency to defend these people even when he knows they are wrong, and at times he will persist even when he knows he is fighting a losing battle.
Fierce- Making him angry is something that most people try to avoid. When he was younger he was a fireball, (literally) feisty and full of energy. He would explode at those he didn't like and often times become aggressive and sarcastic. Although this has mostly abated in his older age, there are still signs of this energy burning inside and when his anger escapes, it can negatively affect those around him, including the people he loves.
Sentimental- Things from his glory days can either make him really happy, or really sad. There are times when he will look at things and weep loudly over them, and other times he'll laugh uncontrollably. He can't really control it, he is quite passionate a person, and when he is in one of his fits, it can take quite a bit to bring him to his senses.
Romantic- A hopeless romantic, Julius would do almost anything in the name of romance. He often daydreams about walks out at sea with beautiful women, and sometimes his visions of grandeur are often too much for people to take. He enjoys flirting with women and having sex with them, but he also daydreams of getting married and courting his true love. His romanticism also has to do with his dreams of being the biggest and the best, a dream which he came close to fulfilling but ultimately failed.
Jovial- His personality is like that of a jolly old man. He laughs often and drinks often. He doesn't have a shy bone in his body and his warm, welcoming nature often makes students feel comfortable in his company, even when he is scolding them.
Caring- Something that seemingly appeared recently, Julius has become a lot more caring and compassionate in his old age. It used to be that he didn't care about most people that weren't himself. But over the years he has developed a calmer, less immature side to himself that has allowed him to talk to kids easily and become fatherly to them.
Doting- He loves his grandchildren more than words can say. And although he often doesn't like Lovino's attitude, it doesn't stop him from cooing and caawing over his grandbabies as much as he can. He does it to the point where it annoys them. Urh.. one of them at least.
Perverted- He doesn't act this way around his students, however around his grandsons and his own children, he will goad them to be sexually active and question when they don't make moves with their significant others. He also tends to be this way with his friends, making crude jokes and off-color humor to people. He was definitely a lot worse in his younger years but this is something that has not changed for the man.

A huge fight had broken out in the school. A student with fire breathing powers had set the building on fire. It wasn't on purpose or anything, but when you're fighting against people sometimes you just lose control. Julius was all too familiar with that.
To be honest, that was probably the reason the Italian was drinking. There were certain times he just didn't want to be reminded of his past. Of course there were also timed he wanted to relive his glory days, but thinking about his mistakes was enough to drive him to well... drinking.
He took another sip of his wine, before sliding out of his seat.
He lifted a picture that was sitting on his desk up into his hands and stared at it a good while. The best thing about his life, the absolute best thing that had come from his time as a superhero, was the fact that he had helped create a family full of children and cousins that were just as passionate about everything as he was.
Hell, even if they weren't quite as passionate as he was, they all seemed to share his knack for flirting, which was definitely something that he didn't mind sharing. With a laugh he set the picture down again.
