((If anybody else is interested in joining, just hop right in! Hehe, a busy weekend turned into a busy week. Sorry for the slight delay Nessie.))
Breakfast was a messy affair at Asher Academy. During these troubled mornings, the dining area would be overflowing with disgruntled students rushing to get their first meal of the day and avoid being late for class. Most of the time, Emil found himself having to literally wrestle through the crowd in order to find a spot in line, but he soon realised that doing this was the quickest way to make enemies in this school as it had already earned him various glares and death threats from some of the more tempermental (or just mentally unstable) of the superpowered teenagers that filled the large cafeteria.
However, today was a Saturday. There were no classes that morning and the students of Asher should have no reason to wake up this early...right? Emil pondered this as he stood outside the doors of the cafeteria, a pale hand rested on the doorknob. The past week had been hell for him and each meal a war - though he'd never admit it, he feared opening these doors. One might think he was being ridiculous and overdramatic, but the Icelander really, really hated crowds.
So when Emil finally worked up the courage to enter the room and found it thankfully empty of crazy superpowered teenagers, he was overjoyed and deeply grateful of whoever was watching out for him from up above. No longer did he have to rush to get in line just to get a bowl of oatmeal! No longer was he verbally abused as he waited for his bread to pop out of the toaster!
...Maybe he was getting a bit carried away.
Shaking his head to clear these thoughts, the Icelander carefully placed a cup of hot cocoa onto his tray and turned around, breakfast in hand, to search for a place to sit. The seating was organised into tables of four and he noticed a few small groups of students scattered around the cafeteria talking amongst themselves. He didn't know anybody here so he settled in an empty table in a quiet area next to a window so he could gaze out into the blue Hawaiian sky, his chin rested on the palm of his hand as a thoughtful look slowly came over his face.
