Lars looked down at his watch and frowned, she was late. Not that it was unusual for his sister to be late but this was planting season and he wanted to get some bulbs in the ground. But he knew he would do anything his sister asked of him and she wanted to have someone to train with, and who was he to deny her?
He was never quite sure how they could ever train together what with having two totally different abilities but it worked he supposed, but whatever it was it sure kept his senses sharp. He supposed while he was waiting for her could prune the maze a bit since it looked like it was starting to over grow. With that idea in mind he put his satchel down and took out his gardening shears.
As he waited and worked he hummed a old tune to himself, the plants moved to his humming enjoying the care that they were receiving from Lars. He could tell they have not been cared for in a long time and made a not to himself to come back at a later time to do it himself.
Taking a moment to look around he looked to see if his sister had arrived yet so they could start training .
Elise hurried over the school grounds to reach the Training Maze. She knew she was late, though she also knew Lars would wait for her. It wasn’t her fault that she was late anyway, not really. Elise had discovered the cutest coffee shop down town (as in a place where you can actually get coffee, not questionable substances). She must have walked past it a hundred times in the past few years, but today she actually noticed it and decided to go in. It’s funny how you can still discover new things in a place you think you know so well.
Anyway, the coffee was great, and she couldn’t complain about their chocolate muffins either. Though what really had her made lose track of time was the cute guy behind the counter. Business had been slow, so Elise had all the time to make a chat with the guy and become acquainted. She would definitely be returning there sometime soon.
Though not now. Now was the time to meet Lars. When Elise finally arrived at the Training Maze, she was about fifteen minutes late. Lars seemed to have found a way to occupy himself while he waited though. Elise grinned slightly at the sight of her brother trimming the hedge. She enjoyed looking at Lars working in the garden. The plants seemed to be almost dancing to the tune he was humming, and it looked very peaceful.
She stood there for a few minutes, not saying anything and therefore not letting Lars know that she had arrived. When he finally looked around, Elise gave him a small grin. “They have gardeners for that, you know.” She noted.
He looked at his sister " Perhaps but I like doing it, and you're late " he gently touched the leaves, the vines gently wrapping themselves around his wrist. " What took you so long anyways? " knowing his sister she probably got distracted by some boy or something cute.
The vines let his wrist go as he moved away from the hedges, he put his gardening shears back in his satchel and stood up straight. " Shall we start? " he headed into the maze ahead of his sister, he knew she wouldn't be too far behind him.
He didn't walk to far into the maze before he turned around to wait for her to catch up with him. " How do you want to do this? " He would leave the choice up to her to make the rules of the training. He studied his sister closely checking to see what she would decide to do.
