Gilbert was wandering around campus, getting himself familiarized. He was pretty sure this is where the dormitories were. Then again, he could be completely wrong. He'd find out either way.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and wandered up to what appeared to be some sort of forest. Neat. The German wasn't seeing any sign of any sort to tell him where he was. Did this school label nothing? His curiosity got the better of him and he wandered forward into said forest.
Gilbert made sure to tip-toe his way around. He was seeing branches that didn't look quite right and every now and then, he swore a root would try to trip him.
Come to think of it, where the hell did this path come from?
Did the school take walks out here often? Maybe this was some sort of camp site. As he came up to a fork in the road, he stopped, examining his paths. In his mind, he thought there should be one that was bright and sunny or one that was dark and creepy. Both of these, however, seemed rather creepy. Well, that was no good.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a coin, flipping it. After catching it, he saw the Tails sign and went left.
He barely noticed things whizzing by his head. And this particular forest was messing with his head alot. he kept feeling like he should be seeing somebody. A ghost, another person, anyone.
Gil was deciding if he should go back or not, but then when he turned around, he realized, he wasn't sure he knew the way back.
He bolted. Bad idea, but hindsight is 20/20. He ran back down a pathway and made another left turn. Wait, maybe he should've turned right.
And that was when he tripped and landed flat on his face.
In humility, Gilbert just lay on the ground. He was building up some pride to get up and think clearly enough to get out of here, but it would be a little while before that happened.
